I have been working hard at the gym rather religiously for the last 3 months approx...with no good results. As a matter of fact, I have been seeing a steady increase in my weight and this has been making me rather despondent and demotivated. I want to try out a weight loss supplement or something of the sort now....just to give me the weight loss boost I need....any suggestions?
176.8 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 24.7 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

I read that losing weight is 80% diet and 20% exercise. Your diet helps you lose the fat so when you exercise you can see the results of the muscle underneath. Now that you have the exercise incorporated, focus on changing your diet. Find a good caloric intake that will help you lose weight but retain muscle (1300-1400) a day might be a good start. Get plenty of lean protein and high fiber foods. Protein and high fiber foods help you lose weight the best and keep you fuller longer than any other foods. Green tea is supposed to help with weight loss. There is a magazine on the shelves now called "Off The Couch" which is really motivational to help you with nutrition and exercise. You have to keep changing things up. Try new exercise classes, eat new foods, etc. Do research on nutrition and exercise. The more knowledgeable you are the better it can help you lose weight.

Thanks Suzi. I know my diet has been sporadic at best. Have my weeks of excellent discipline, and then fall off the wagon when I'm not seeing results. I am considering visiting a dietician as I do know that I do not eat correctly, either too little, or then too much, and I need to know what foods trigger my metabolism best. Will keep you posted, but do keep me posted on your progress too. Many thanks, JJ
