A wonderful Monday morning to all of our FatSecret community! Today, I make the long trek to my urologist in downtown L.A. on Wilshire Blvd..I seem to be doing Ok on my diet, considering the donuts my wife has been feeding me for breakfast, and she unexpectedly, got sick, and didn't go to work. Somewhere here, I feel a weight backlash awaiting me.

Warren's Diet Tip of the Day: "We don't get fat because we overeat- We overeat because we're getting FAT". Insulin clears sugar from your bloodstream, it also shuttles fat into fat cells. And finally, the higher the levels of insulin, the less fat you're able to burn.
264.0 lb Lost so far: 6.0 lb.    Still to go: 4.0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Warren- I hope your wife gets on your wagon soon. I don't know but it seems like she likes to give you things you don't want to eat? My husband used to be the food decider but this year I say no to him! I do let him feed me sometimes and I know if it's steak he's going to smother it in lawrys lol so I just ask him not to and if he does he does if he doesn't I try to get in a better workout! I made a pot of lentil soup and pre made spaghetti squash and ground turkey for the week he was so hungry but refused to eat what I had prepared. He's stubborn!! I had a bowl of lentils for dinner he ordered fried rice and ate the whole order! I don't know how he stays looking fit! Good luck at the urologist!

Funny, Misty, my wife really doesn't listen to me about diet, and when I talk to her, she kind of is on her own thinking, her being a nurse and everything. I tell her that I am trying to cut out all sugar, and it just seems to stress her more. lol I'm alone a lot, and that is when I usually am fasting. lol

Warren u r doing great at your weight loss. You are approaching your goal at a steady pace! 9 more lbs for u! Are you going to reset it after you make it or will you maintain from there? Again, you are doing great👍🏻

Thanks Misty! Also, I just saw the end of your message. Thanks, the urologist is critical. I am luckier, than most on here. I can move my weight fairly easy, when I get serious. This was all because of my knee problem, and doctor's orders. But I have learned so much on here, that I never knew. I was drinking probably about 3-6 diet cokes a day. I was taking the diet pills, but now I am not even doing that. I may go for more, but I wonder how skinny can I get. I'm 6'7" tall. I was 230 lbs. for many years.

Yes I figured you were a tall man! That's great you no longer do diet soda's nor take pills. Again, you're doing great.
