A little drop on the scale. I'll take it. Partied it up a bit over the past Super Bowl weekend. I logged over 17 miles that weekend as well. Goes to show you that you can't outrun the fork.

I had a major win last night. Bronchitis set me back 2 weeks from a couch to half marathon 24 week training plan. Last night, I decided to resume my training from where I left off which was week three. Week three consist of 5 minute warm up then 90 jog and 90 sec recovery until I reach 2 miles. My warm up consisted of 3 mph then I started to jog at 6 mph which was too fast for me so I dropped it down to 5 somewhere in the 90 sec interval. My recover speed was 3 mph. I eventually moved those jog - recover intervals to 5.2 mph and 3.2 mph. I finished this workout in 29 min 48 seconds. I immediately switched the movie I was watching over to a music channel and sat on the side of the treadmill to cool down. Sweat was poring down my eyes at that point. I am very proud of myself because somewhere in the session, my right leg and right foot started to tighten up but since it wasn't agonizing pain I pushed through. This is a win in my book and I will take it.

One day at a time. One day at a time.

You're doing this the right way...it's better to be slow and steady than try and do too much at once but crashing and burning. Long term wins this race. Congrats on the drop and the workouts.

You can't out run the fork. I gotta remember that one. Good words and work!

Good effort. Bronchitis weakens your breathing to the extreme. Listen to your body and protect those lungs and bronchial tubes. I admire your upbeat attitude.

Thanks Annie42, warrenwinter, HCB, Bill. I did my 2nd of 3 HIIT sessions last night and shaved 41 seconds off my time, 29 min 7 seconds. My last HIIT session is on Saturday. I will try to get it under 29 minutes. Next week will kick my but because the 3 X intervals will require 90 second jog and 60 recover. I will research about heart healthy foods and start changing over my diet. I want a strong, healthy ticker to power my workouts.
