This has been probably the best week since I started my journey 7 months ago. At that point I weighed 265 pounds. I had signed up to yet another gym but did something a little bit different. At Anytime Fitness they offered personal training. Twice a week I went to the gym and met with at first Keith then Rebecca. I got an awesome workout every time and I started to lose weight. This week I started a 6 week class that is designed to help get you ready for an obstacle race as I'm going to a Warrior Dash in May. That upped my gym attendance to 4 days this week.
It was a slow process but I managed to lose 25 pounds. My only set-back was my eating habits. Sometimes I would do well then I wouldn't and the latter happened more often than the former. On my Monday I decided to try a new calorie counting site (This one), and everything seemed to click this week.
I tried to be consistent. I ate pretty much the same thing every day with some variations here and there to keep it from getting completely stale. Was I perfect? no. but I did log everything I ate and was able to eat a whole frozen pizza yesterday as a treat and was still able to keep it under my calorie goal.
I'm planning to head to the gym this afternoon as my trainer gave me some homework to do for the Warrior class. That will make it 5 times this week.. who is this guy?

I find that I also eat mostly the same thing every day because I've already figured out that it's a good amount of calories and a good balance of nutrients for me. Same breakfast, snack, lunch... I mix it up a little for dinner and evening snacks, but even that is starting to be a rotation of select items. I like it though, because my life isn't revolving around food. I'm not overly focused on it anymore. Being boring in this one area is helpful because I'm looking for excitement now in other non-food-related areas of my life. =)

Do you use the Zombies Run! app? I use the Zombies Run 5k one frequently, but I've never worked all the way through it.
