Nice work, Glen. Hope you are doing OK. How is your friend's cat doing? I think I recall you adopted his cat. 

Hi HCB - I have TWO cats I adopted from my deceased friend. I have Patches (wrongly called Princess in my friend's obituary) and I have Mittens too. They are both females and my cat Mitzi too from my mom when she passed. And my dog Toto that I got from when my neighbor passed in early 2009. No more dogs once Toto passes, unless I have a huge house one day...  

Three cats and a dog! You are busy. The last time we had three cats, they had turf wars and two would side against one...and then switch sides. Now we have two, and they are quite peaceful together. 

Two came as my deceased friend's cats (they eventually got along and are like sisters - my friend took the kitten in two years ago, and they fought for three weeks and then one day he came home from work and they were sleeping together) and my mom's cat seems to be adjusting as is the dog. No turf wars... I think in a few months the three cats will all be getting along well. The animals are all females. The dog is older. The oldest cat will be seven on March 5th. I don't know the two younger cats' birthdays. One will be six this year, the youngest one is thin and will be two in the springtime - not sure when.  

You are kind to care for their loved pets. 

Thanks, I am glad I have them. I can't take anymore. I have the room for them. Just more litter to change, and cat food to buy... they added more joy to my house, I did not expect that when the two more cats came along.
