chesgreen's Journal, 03 February 2016

My goals are clear, written down and are posted everywhere except for FB.

I have them written in a small diary I keep in my backpack, used M-F. They are near my treadmill, they are near my chair in the living room, Daddy's chair they family calls it. They are on my phone.

This is my year. On my journey, setbacks are inevitable. That's OK. I can handle it. I will adjust and move forward, better, stronger. It's all about consistency plus effort over time. I WILL SUCCEED WITH OR WITHOUT YOU. I'd rather do it with a team of warriors. Let's go!!!!

Happy Wednesday.

Great idea, Ches! I only had them on FS, but am posting now to my desk cube wall, and will post at my treadmill and "Grandma's chair" in the livingroom when I get home. I'm on the team!

Yes mmeyer2263. You will forget unless they are all over the place. Eyes on the prize. I wrote down how much I want to loose in Jan, Feb, Mar. Achieved Jan number. My Feb and Mar numbers are smaller. But I will be happy with the end result no matter!!!

Having your goals visible as reminders is a great idea.

Ches, I've added dates to mine as well: 15 by 2/1 (achieved!), 15 by 4/1; 10 by 6/1; 10 by 9/1, and 10 by 12/31. I believe these are achievable on my current plan.

Although it is early in the year, I believe a major part of my break though is coming down with Bronchitis last week. This was a setback HOWEVER, I didn't let it become an excuse like "why I can't". It motivated me to figure out "How Can I". I was on track for week 3 of 24 of a 1/2 marathon training schedule when I got Bronchitis. It has delayed my training schedule by 2 weeks. So frigging what. I shifted my focus towards keeping my body moving daily with activities that would not cause me to gasp for air. This means no jogging/running. You see, I figured it out. That's what is all about. By the way, some Doritos and a splash of vodka in some soda and juice fell in my mouth yesterday after I logged all my calories and I am over it. If you want to play, you got to pay. Let's go!!!!

All we can do is our best..and that is exactly what I wish you. As they say..it's not the destination that counts..it's the road getting there. So enjoy the ride..don't be too hard on yourself..and if you fall off the saddle..get back on it when YOU are ready..and not anyone else. Namaste. (◕‿-)

Thanks for the post Ches! I also have daily exercise and calorie deficit goals that I am using to help reach my long term goals, without those daily goals "nagging" at me, there are for sure days I'd skip working out.

For those of you who have achieved your goal, congratulations and job well done.
