Well, I was only expecting to lose 2-3 lbs this past week, but looks like 5! HOWEVER...many things could've contributed: loss of water weight (although I've been drinking WAY more water this week than typical) or recuperation after eating very poorly the week or 2 prior to starting this diet. Either way. Very excited! Here we go with week 2 of the Biggest Loser at my office and week 1 of losing 20lbs by Christmas.
I never have willpower very long, but I've been fairly good lately. I even said no to a real chocolate chip cookie today. (I say real because I've been following my own version of the "smart for life cookie diet" and eating fake cookies.) Hopefully my positive 1st week weigh-in will help me continue having decent willpower over the next several weeks!

Congrats! That's great! FYI, drinking more water helps encourage your body to shed water it's been retaining, because it starts believing that it'll keep getting the higher amount of water. Seems counter-intuitive, but it makes sense, and appears to be the general consensus. So keep drinking water (or, at least fluids), too - it's always a good thing! Everything works better well-hydrated anyway.
Anyway, keep up the great work!
