Well I had a cheat night... I feel like garbage already... a chocolate and 2 Pillsbury grands... usually I never have that crap in the house but it was leftover from christmas. well if anything it's re affirmed that I'm doing the right thing. I'm bloated and uncomfortable. .. back to straight vegetables and meat tomorrow, no more of this bread and sugar garbage ... atleast until I forget how incredibly awful I feel.

**take it as motivation everyone... eating like crap just makes you feel like crap**

have a good night everyone :)

It's funny how cheat nights are so great when you start a diet, but eventually lose their luster. I did Body for Life years ago, and there was a cheat day once a week. I looked forward to it every week, but paid for it every time as well. By the fourth week, I could care less about cheat days, I just didn't want to feel bloated and lethargic anymore. Keep up the good work!!

Ya exactly! it seemed like a good idea at the time... hope to sleep off this horrible feeling now and have a strict day tomorrow so I can feel better. Pillsbury. .. what was I thinking??? lol

I'm laughing because in the 9 months or so that I've been strict Keto, I've gone off-book twice, but times were hellish for following few days. It's funny how the body reacts to a macro-nutrient that is 'recommended' to us by the experts. May I suggest next time you have a 'cheat-day/meal' that if you *need* to go overboard, to do it with your plan food, ie. I tend to go for a big 18oz+ steak, sauteed mushrooms and gorgonzola or some kind of blue cheese. All of which are on a part of my WOE. Excess calories? Maybe, depending on what I had that day but it's all on-book.

I agree. I am convinced a "cheat" day/meal is not so that you can "enjoy the foods you missed" it is to remind you of how awful you feel when eating that way. I'm pretty thick headed so I've needed a few "reminders" but the holiday disaster is still firmly in my mind and how awful I felt!

If I had a nickel for every time I heard, "Pillsbury... What was I thinking?" Haha!! Hang in there my friend! You're going in the right direction and your body is agreeing with you!

when you think Pillsbury think of the commercial where someone pokes that chubby fellow and he giggles... Hang in there

frosty... that is a much better idea !!! and would taste better too. those things I ate are just buttery garbage. I didn't even like them before I changed eating habits so I don't know what possessed me to ingest those doughy devils ... humm... that was a pretty flowery sentence. .. I'll keep it lol... what's this keto buisness you speak of??

rckc ha ha ha all those "reminder" days are probably why I'm 100 overweight lol I need a much better memory. but atleast this time around my husband is on board cause I made him fat lol you know what's the worst part though guys and why I'm pissed at myself?? that Pillsbury poke in the belly ... I hate that name cause in school I was the 'Pillsbury dough girl' and everyone poked me all the damn time.... I think it's time to remember all that and use it as motivation. .. I did it once before... I just had to get mad and I lost a bunch of weight and did my grandpa's boxing routines every day ... then I was made fun of for being too "butch" ..... well at this moment I'm really missing being all muscles and "butch" ... it's funny how people's negativity can wriggle into your brain. ..

in any case ... it's been about two weeks since I've started.. I've been learning a lot about who I am, how I need to control my eating, and digging up emotional issues to deal with them rather than pile more food on them. so this is good. when you drop weight I guess you need to drop your baggage too, little bits at a time.

Last night I had a cheat meal. God I felt so disgusting last night after it. I wish there was a way to remind me of how I feel after cheat meals when I start to crave mac & cheese or a burger. urgh! Makes me not want to ever cheat like that again.

Its only a cheat-meal if its not in your "Plan", if you understand what it can do for you in terms of weight-loss, its beneficial, however, at this stage you should avoid it.

panigale. I don't even want to think of mac and cheese .. I think that stuff would kill me right now lol!

I think your day started off on the wrong foot "Grapefruit Juice", at 25gms of sugar, you put yourself way behind in looking to metabolize body fat for energy. :-(

I'm a low carb/high fat kind of guy, but any diet that you follow has to be just that, followed, or it won't work. Cheat days are just excuses, until you reach the point that you're through making excuses, and hopefully you are, you won't have any success to speak of.

so a good amount of support and some scolding at the same time in this thread. Accountability.... :-)

There's nothing wrong in having at least 1 cheat day/night every week or so.

Once you decide you are truly ready to change, it will be easy for you. You do not sound ready to really change it up. We all are here to help you!

@Felix Caba, everything is wrong with it if you don't understand what exactly you want it to do. One night per week becomes one night...then a special night out...then football game, then a happy hour after work, all the while saying you will get back on plan.....

Well, 8hunter6, my resistance gave into a couple of pieces of pizza yesterday. Haven't done that in months. And my body felt the same way this morning. Yuck! I'm gonna use this as a bit of incentive to stick with my plan.
