Good news: I only gained two and a half pounds over the holiday break. Whew! I thought it was going to be wayyy more than that. It felt like it was, but that was because I ate so much chocolate and fell out of the walking habit. So when I stepped on the scale I thought for sure it was going to be back in the 170s. Not even close. It was 162.7 - nice!
More good news: A friend signed me up for a 5K Color Run in mid-June. I haven’t run more than half a block in years, and only to catch a bus. But – I’m in! I bought running shoes and I’m starting super slow but I’ll be ready. I’ve got 24 weeks!
My new goal is 153 pounds by the Color Run. That’s only 10 pounds away. I can totally do that. Pfft! Piece of cake. (Maybe a rice cake, though.)
