On with the journey and a little loss. I will take .2 pounds any day, especially when the ice cream (which is a rarity for me) was DELICIOUS!

One thing I have found is that doing DEEP SQUATS really does help speed up the metabolism. I read a book by Tim Ferris called 4 Hour Body last year. Though I don't follow the whole thing since I want a nutrition plan that I can follow for life, the exercise portion really emphasized certain exercises to increase metabolism.

I am copying a link about this book here. It is an actual link to a PDF file you can download for viewing offline. It's about 500 pages and has many really helpful tips on nutrition, exercise and even some things to perk up your romantic life with your spouse or partner.

I really try to help people as much as possible as people have gone out of they way to help me so...I hope you get good use out of it. Let me know how you like it and have a TERRIFIC day!

Not sure how much Tim Ferriss would appreciate the posting of the book up there, but I've read it and there are some great points in it. There's also a lot of unproven techniques that he admits are unproven, but logically seem possible. Definitely a better read than his first book.

I am sure the smart man that he is, Tim knows what's on the first page of a Google search referencing his name. This PDF is very visible so I have to assume he actually is ok with this. That being said, you're right, some of the techniques are unproven since there is not enough empirical evidence at this point. But drinking two glasses of ice water first thing in the morning did seem to work and I know the deep squats worked. But like anything else, we must be skeptics to some degree. Hope you guys and girls enjoy the PDF.

Interesting book, I downloaded it and will load it on my kindle app to read. Congrats on the loss...100 lbs is still lost an ounce at a time, it all adds up.

You're doing great Jim. It's a good and may help you get those final pounds down. The exercise portion is a bit different than the other book of his. And yes, it all adds up.

Thank you for the link to the book. That is interesting, I'm going to up my fiber intake and try some of the timing of the exercises before and after meals. It certainly can't hurt.

I am glad you are enjoying it rmacle, and you're welcome. One thing I love about the buddies on this site is that they all are very supportive and try to help in one way or another. Please share some things you learned with us since at times, we don't view all the updates. And please share how you are not totally crazy commuting from Arizona to California, Lol. It must be interesting.
