Eating junk. Yes, carbs are a comfort food. Mom is great. Dad is just about moved into his new facility. It's been tough on everyone. Things will still be uncertain over the next several months. Control is a myth. Putting out fires and still managing to accomplish things... that's life.

Have a great day buddies. I'll get back to the cut once I get home and back into my routine, though I have a pile of letters to write on parents behalf because of the crappy 'service' of the 'Health care system'. Socialized medicine in the way of accomplishing anything.

Just to give you an idea of what I've been going through, one event that occurred was the day mom was released from the hospital to a care home. I got a call from person #1 who told me that I needed to phone person #2. I assumed it had something to do with mom having been moved. So I called person #2 who told me 'I'm calling to let you know what will happen when we find a bed for your mother and she's released to a care home and she's moved from the hospital.' I said 'That's awesome. I appreciate the call. How will that help me now since mom was released from the hospital and moved to a care home just over an hour ago.' 'Oh, I guess you don't need this call then.' Fabulous. I wish I could say that was an uncommon occurrence, but it's the norm. Too many cooks.
