Teddy's Journal, 08 October 2015

Well- I had a big day of exercise yesterday- climbing plus almost 2 hours of futsal; and even with this high activity rate my food consumption was a bit under my target. In general I have been making good progress by running a slight deficit every day, even though my measured weight fluctuates from day to day, I can see evidence of the progress in terms of how my clothes fit and how I look.

The big key to making progress at this stage seems to be staying consistent with running a slight calorie deficit rather than worrying about what the scale says. Even so, I was psyched to see last night after futsal (but before my protein shake) I registered a new low of 158.8. So this morning I was not surprised to see 160.0.

This was my fall goal and it comes just in time for climbing season because I am doing my first trip for performance season at the Red River Gorge this weekend. Hopefully I can feel the difference from ~170 that I was last fall. Along with being stronger my improved strength to weight ought to make the steep routes feel less tiring.

160.0 lb Lost so far: 6.0 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 1.2 lb a week
