When did you start your journey to losing 62 pounds? I'm assuming from your screen name you eat only - or primarily - whole foods? I'm struggling to find an effective food plan, especially as the only flesh I eat is chicken or turkey white meat. I'm looking for a plan I can stick with that is easy to follow and is almost prescriptive - limited choices rather than having to think all the time!

have a look at banting. i am a vegetarian, and it allows you a lot of fat, cheeses, nuts, sauces. quite good for vegetarian! and amazing results.

Mary, actually around fall of 2012 but went on the old standby Adkins, lost some but it made me sick to stomach all the time. Way too much meat and fat for my body. Then some health issues in the way so stalled and gained some back. Revised my plan to fit into my little to no processed, eclectic cooking, and only occasional animal protein. Started here tracking etc. and exercising the fall of 2013 after a summer of tracking everything on paper, very time consuming. I've been at about the same weight since July 2014 and working on fitness and maintaining. Now I love to cook and explore the world's cuisines, I'm not good at a plan that limits my choices. I'm always trying new things recipes and food. I can give you my guidelines for types of foods and approx servings I aim for, maybe that would help you. FYI I do not do low carb as many here do, though I know the basics on that as I've done it.
