Good Morning!! It is overcast here this morning. Feeling quite blustery. We had lightning, thunder, hail, rain, you name it yesterday!! My cold is still hanging on so I'm not feeling real perky. I have not yet convinced myself to get on my elliptical machine but probably will soon while I do the laundry. I gained about 9 lbs on vacation, that is pretty typical for me. It should come back off relatively quickly. These vacation gains are different then the gains I've had in the past. My clothes still fit!! I remember before the end of my honeymoon ... 20+ years ago ... there were items of clothing I could not wear. That was a time I starved myself to lose weight (for the wedding of course) and then, because my body had been so deprived, I gained it very quickly. It's not like that now, thank heavens!! And so, I'm not feeling much like complaining today!! Lucky you!!!

Oh, there is one bummer though. I left my new swimsuit in Mexico!!! I must have had it on the veranda ... drying. At least I had bought it on sale but it took me FOREVER to find one I liked!! Guess I'll be in the market again ... before my next trip. Oh well.

Five things I am grateful for today ...

1. My baby Blue boy ... is adjusting okay to being the only doggy in our lives.
2. My bed ... oh it felt delightful last night!!
3. The cool crisp air
4. memories of the warm Mexico sun
5. a wonderful relaxing vacation

Have a wonderful weekend ... take care of yourselves ... be kind, not only to those around you but also to yourselves ... make conscious choices and choose to live life to its fullest with no regrets!!

Bummer about your bathing suit - maybe you can call the hotel and see if it was found. And don't worry about the weight - knowing you its just a fluctiation!!!! LOL

Hubby is hanging in there. We're still waiting on official insurance preauthorization for the radiation treatment he'd like to pursue so we're in a "holding" pattern for now. Hurry up and wait ... nothing happens quickly!! Thanks for asking!!

Oh, no! Not the bathing suit! Good ones are so hard to find. Vacation weight is like jet lag - just part of the process and gone before you know it. Glad to hear hubby is hanging in there. I'm sure the vacation was a great distraction to the waiting game. Have a wonderful Sunday!

So glad you feel rested and rewarded after your wonderful vacation in Mexico. Ouch! No more new bathing suit? Maybe the hotel will mail it to you. That mishap occured with my son's prize baseball cleats when we were playing in a tournament two states away. The Mariott mailed the cleats one day delivery. I wrote a glowing letter of thanks to the hotel management. Good luck with pushing that scale number down. Okay?

Sorry to hear about your suit! That is a bummer. Clothes shopping is hard enough, and then to lose something that actually worked. Get well soon!! You are right, you are capable of getting that weight off.
