Annabelle3117's Journal, 23 June 2015

Hey now, that's not so darn bad considering my food choices! I'm actually happy with that. It's funny, I treat myself like I've gained back 86 pounds and feel just terrible about myself after making bad food choices but the damage, in all reality, is pretty minor. Ah, so hard on ourselves are we.

The capping ceremony was very nice last week. My fellow students all volunteered me into reciting a little tid bit in front of the entire auditorium. Lovely. My anxiety gets me and my heart feels like it's going to beat right out of my chest but I carry it well. I did a really nice job, and I don't think anyone really believes me when I tell them how difficult things like that are for me. That's okay though, not showing it is kind of the goal. Of course then I celebrated with some complimentary cookies. Crap. All downhill from there, straight through the weekend.

I booked a camping trip for next week. Sure we can't really afford it, but whatever. We are tent camping, so it's not like it gets much cheaper than that... Other than living in a van down by the river.

I donated blood last night for the first time. I was very excited to be able to do so. My husband donated too, so even better right.

So anywho, I just wanted to check in and let you know I'm still with you!! Hope all is well with my amazing buddies!!

YAY YOU! It is *true*, we *are* hard on ourselves at times but more often than not we are in the shape we are in because we were *not* hard enough on ourselves. :D It doesnt do *too much* damage as you said when we give in to indulgence every now & again but many times we dont stop it there...we continue until damage is visible. No one really thinks too much about a tap on their car door but if it keeps getting tapped over & over again the damage will be seen! Its our being consistent in whatever efforts we choose that will eventually allow the damage or care to show up :D LOOKS like YOU are taking CARE :D you have lost over 80 lbs!!! KEEP IT UP & BE JOYFUL!!!

Congratulations, have fun camping, and just LOVE the Chris Farley/Matt Foley reference. And good for you on the blood donation. I always felt so much better after donating. I did it for years but am no longer allowed to do so. Nice to see others picking up the torch.
