WTF is all imma say today, and please forgive me if that offends anyone. Im super peeved right now.I weighted in at 210,thats a 1 lbs gain for me. Whats really pissing me off is that I look and feel leaner and was expecting at least a 1lbs drop.I even was showing my husband last night how i though my tummy was flatter and ive got muscles in my legs and arms forming. And I dont believe muscle weights more then fat, lbs is a lbs no matter what its made of in my book.I didnt cheat so I cant blame that. What I am gonna say is I think its 2 things, 1.. water weight, I just finished TOM and he may still me lingering around in the form of water weight and 2. I did not work out for 3 days in a row,bc of TOM. I think bc I didnt sweat enough so I kept alot of water in, that coupled with not enough water. I dont know what else to think. OK rant over.. ready for this wonderful week. Spending the day cleaning my patio so i can take the cats our, and my closet bc Im in that in between stage where everything is either to big or too small. Thank you to all our wonderful vets out there and hope every one has a super day. Goals for the week... work out everyday and drink more water...

It is just a blip - that stuff happens. Trust the mirror and the clothes. What kind of cats do you have? I have two Bengal breed cats that are like my children! LOL

Lol muscle doesn't WEIGH more it takes up less space, like a lb of brick takes up less space than a lb of feathers. So you can definitely weigh the same and be a lot trimmer. As you add muscle its not uncommon to see a little blip of a gain. you are doing the right things don't sweat it.

Weight loss isn't always down. As the body adjusts it will bounce around. It will continue down just keep going.

Be sure to measure. as Nicholaix said muscle takes up less room and as you get leaner the scale may not show how lean you are getting.

Scales do NOT tell the whole truth.

I am not sure what kind of exercising you are doing, but it sounds like you are losing fat and gaining muscle. Awesome. If you are just noticing your muscles you are going going through a period of gaining lean muscle mass and that's what you want. If that's happening you need to remember that for about two weeks after starting to gain lean muscle mass your lean weight and total body weight might increase. This happens because there is an increase of fluids and energy stored as glycogen in the muscle tissue (which is comparatively more dense) and a decrease of energy stored as triglycerides in fat tissue (which is comparatively less dense).

OK,all this info has made me feel way much better..... bc i was freaking out for a minute there.. BAHAHAHA...I know Ive lost inches bc clothes that I had given up on now fit big and I even got a dress for Mike's graduation, so I agree with Nicholaix and I like what AJ said too, it makes sense. Ive been on a roll since day one and have either lost or stayed the same weight, never gained so it really thru me off.. HCB, I have a black domestic shorthair named Kiki and a grey and black tiger striped Tabby named Gigi... and they are my babies... we spend all day together since I work from home.. OK, shrugging off the gain and moving on to bigger and better things.

I AM NOT an expert on anything, but it SOUNDS like to me that you have a good understanding of what is going on AND you have a good plan to remedy your gain...So this week, RELAX...and just focus on your two step action plan PLUS continue to stay on eating plan and I predict next MON. will be a different result!!!! (And the scale is just ONE of our tools.)

This before & after took just 4 weeks - She used our 4 Week Core Program for Abs, Obliques & Lower Back @ https://www.fitnessblender.com/…/4-week-core-program-for-ab… - She is the SAME weight in both pictures - this just goes to show you how important it is to not measure your progress with your scale weight. Remember, all of our bodies change in different ways, at different rates; use these before and after pictures to motivate yourself towards your own goals, but never compare yourself or your progress to others. www.fitnessblender.com FitnessBlender.com's photo.

please keep this in mind - muscle DOES weigh more than fat because muscle has a greater density. Check out this website: http://greatist.com/fitness/does-muscle-weigh-more-fat It will clarify a lot :)
