I barely squeaked by to 209 this week, but its ok. I know i did my best and gave it my all. Im so super excited today bc its the 1st day me and Mike are going back to the big gym since the car fiasco. We have been getting by at the park and little gym here at the apartments. Last night I looked at my son and thought.. wow, he looks skinny. I know he is excited to go back, as am I. Goals for the week, get to gym at least 4 times, more water and less dairy and fruit. Mental notes: Try something new..like a whole artichoke or a new recipe.ALSO question: Has anyone dealt with Kratom? My mom swears by it but I wanted to get some more input from any one who has tried it??? Hope everyone has a great day where ever you are!

It is a Southeast Asian herbal that is a stimulant - illegal in some places. Probably meant to give energy and reduce appetite - you are doing great without any stuff - why bother? Just my opinion, the natural way of our bodies in more healthy.

MMMM if it is illegal is some areas. I wouldn't trust it much and really really investigate any side affects.

I didnt know it was illegal some places.. thats a sign maybe I should pass.. My mom takes it sometimes bc she says it helps with some chronic pain she has and she gets it at the indian store. Anytime something has a side effect, ill get it and bad so I try and limit things with negative side effects.

this is hat Wikipedia has to say about it. "Mitragyna speciosa (ketum,[2] kratom or kratum,[3] Thai: กระท่อม) is a tropical deciduous and evergreen tree in the coffee family (Rubiaceae) native to Southeast Asia in the Indochina and Malesia floristic regions. Its leaves are used for medicinal properties. It is psychoactive, and leaves are chewed to uplift mood and to treat health problems.[4] M. speciosa is indigenous to Thailand and, despite growing naturally in the country, has been outlawed for 70 years and was originally banned because it was reducing the Thai government's tax revenue from opium distribution.[4] Kratom behaves as a mu-opioid receptor agonist like morphine[5] and is used in the management of chronic pain, as well as recreationally.[6] Kratom use is not detected by typical drug screening tests, but its metabolites can be detected by more specialized testing.[7][8] The pharmacological effects of kratom on humans, including its efficacy and safety, are not well-studied.[5] Most side effects of kratom are thought to be mild, although isolated adverse effects such as psychosis, convulsions, hallucinations, sweating, nausea, vomiting, chest pain, dizziness and confusion have been reported, albeit rarely.[4] There has been a reported case in which chronic use of M. speciosa was associated with bowel obstruction, as well as reports stating that the plant carries the potential for addiction and can lead to withdrawal symptoms.[4] Kratom itself has not been identified to be the cause of death in any case.[9][10][11]"

Thanks for the education, BuffyBear! After reading the side effects of Kratom, I think I'll have to pass (no pun intended!)

Great job Red! Between your healthy thinking, and big gym going, you don't need any supplements - you are doing it all on your own!!
