LISfifty's Journal, 18 May 2015

Very bad news to see that scale. I have been distracted since August traveling, selling and buying a house and moving across states. My health has taken a very back seat Nd I am near my lifetime heavy weight. I have been running away from the scale for months and eating out a lot- plenty junk food and little exercise. So now that I have moved and have most of my boxes unpacked, I am discovering my fate. In addition, I ache everywhere. I am going to need some serious support like what even to have for breakfast I must begin all over again. But I have to remember that the only real failure is giving up and not having a new beginning. Can't go into old age with this weight. It is an effort to move, to dress, to get out of bed. Happy Momday! :). By the way, many congratulations to those who have stayed on track and have reaped the results.

Thank you for each support and for your encouraging comments. I value them. I got through today. Pulled my food scale back out, and will food shop this week and clean out the pantry again of contraband. One day at a time. Had less pain today after soaking in eucalyptus Epsom salt. Shall I weigh daily or weekly? What do you all do?

Once or twice a week is what I do. When you weigh yourself daily you will see a lot of fluctuations and that can drive you nuts.

LOL! Snezica. I can see that. Ok folk. If I can get through today. I did not walk yesterday. Still a lot of contractor appointments and the time just got away. So I think that just as I get my devotional time in daily I am going to have to figure out how to get in exercise time. To make it part of the day rather than an add on if I can. Too tired to cook yesterday and went to a pizza place. Tried to be reasonable. Had a salad, small serving of pasta and Marinara sauce and 3 small slices of pizza.

Will get back to the food journal today. Did not know how to calculate my meals yesterday. Had a shake in the morning and need to calculate shake recipes.

Yes, weighing everyday can drive you crazy. Too many ups and downs, depending on water retention and bowel movements! I usually weigh once a week, unless I know that I had a bad day...then I weigh myself to intentionally kick my butt back to getting back on track! Do whatever works for YOU! Just know that we are here to support you! Good luck!!
