Mandie160's Journal, 11 August 2007

I forgot to tell you guys that I had to have a tooth cut out on Thursday. It's a long story, but I was forced to eat crackes and soup because the medication was making me very ill. The entire time I was going through this I was trying to not go over my carb cout. The crackers are probably the reason I didn't do as well as I expected. Please let me blame it on something

It can be hard to eat properly when you've had surgery! I'm taking vicodine for my back right now and I normally eat crackers with it-- I was throwing up so badly yesterday! If you're still eating crackers, switch from saltines or what have you to triscuits; they're not as bad. Saltines are straight white flour; triscuits have a lot of fiber. Soup isn't so bad carb-wise, just watch what you're eating. Avoid noodle soups and eat veggies soups, even some cream soups aren't so bad. Also, chicken or beef boullion should be carb-free. Good luck and you're still doing great! Feel better!

Thanks for the comment. I hate to say it but I did have the saltine. I knew when I took that first bite that the cracker was pure flour. I didn't even think about trying another type of cracker. I also had cream of celery soup to go with the crackers. I feel a lot better today and I stop taking the oxycodone(excuse spelling) Friday night. I only take advil now. My next weigh in is Tuesday. Wish me luck!!! I'm doing better today and I hope you get better soon. Keep in touch!
