BrandyRelaxing's Journal, 31 July 2011

I've said before that my body is a week behind, and I think this is week 1 of 2 weeks of low weight loss, but at least I didn't gain!

Did a modified C25K last night... tried to do the original week 1 workout, but it was too much, so I modified it to do 30 seconds running, then 2 minutes walking. That was do-able for me - did the same time as recommended and will keep working at it until I feel comfortable and I might up it to 45 seconds, or to 1 minute, but I think I'll be on the 30 seconds for a bit. Once I get up to 1 minute of running with 1 min 30 seconds of walking, I'm going to go back to the C25K program and see what week 2 looks like.

Anyways...I was going to go for a walk, but it's now really raining! :(

So I'm gonna have to figure out what I'm going to do for the day.

There's always your elliptical, Brandy. LOL. You're doing great. Remember the mantra. The scale is NOT the only measure of progress. Back on my bike, girl. Enjoy your day.

Have a great day Brandy! Your hard work will catch up, and I agree, it isn't your only measure of progress. You are really looking great!

Yes to the elliptical...I did some of my 5k training on the elliptical to spare my knees the impact. It's GREAT for building your endurance; you just increase your speed for the length of your prescribed interval as if you're jogging, then back down to moderate pace for the recovery.

Your body takes time to adjust, that's all. Your determination to get to your goal is a huge part of what will get you there.

I am sure you will find a way to exercise even if on the spot in the living room, watch TV the time will fly by. Congrats on your weight loss so far!!!
