Certainly not a low calorie day but still below my RDI which to me seems a bit high but who knows. I am holding my own weight wise which is amazing. Hubby was upset with me for eating the chocolate cake. He is worried that through this time I will take "too good of care" of him and that I will not take care of myself. He worries that I will return to former self-destructive behaviors and then beat up on myself ... because I am stressed, worried about him. My husband doesn't easily shed tears ... they were falling from his eyes.

Talk about taking my breath away. Well all of you here know that indeed I have been struggling ... but still holding my own. I told him I was weighing everyday, recording what I ate and YES there have been a few days where I have let myself go. However, I agree with him and I will not let it get away with me. I assured him I will take care of me. Understand he isn't worried about how much I weigh per se, he is worried about me feeling bad about me. That is horrid for him.

So ... breathe deeply, keep placing one foot in front of the other, keep the arrows green!! Practice what I preach. Be kind to myself, take care of me, love me.

Deana ... I agree ... I think we both have a different balance in place than we did a few months ago ... I too am enjoying this feeling. Less panic, less worry, more LIFE!! I would love seeing your list of 5 things to be grateful for!!!

Your putting others first rings true with many of us wives and mothers. As for myself - I had to work hard not to imitate the martyrdom modeled by my mother. We have FINALLY learned that taking care of ourselves - whether first or later - essentially enables us to take BETTER care of those we love - right? You two have got it goin' on! Great gratitude list. I am diggin' my Tylenol pm - diggin' it with a shovel! Much love.
