Okay, I have a new challenge... 22 pounds in 22 days. I have lost 30 in 30 before so I know I can do this! My problem is that I don't eat enough or I forget to eat. On Saturday I was running around all day and realized at 9pm that I had not eaten anything all day and was not hungry. I am trying to eat more small meals / snacks throughout the day but I get so busy that I just forget.
172.2 lb Lost so far: 21.4 lb.    Still to go: 22.2 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
gaining 0.6 lb a week

I know I don't know you and I am just jumping in here after one comment from you but try to remember this!...when you go long periods and don't eat you will not be hungry because 1. Your metabolism is slowing down to conserve fat 2. You are probably burning your own lean body mass up for the protein you need. You are telling your body you are starving. You will be doing nothing but a disservice to your metabolism by trying to loose weight while not eating! Your challenge should be to eat the right amount of calories to support your body and your weight loss goals:)

I wish you good luck. But gr8karma is right. Losing quickly like that makes us lose muscle as well as fat and water weight. The less muscle you have, the slower your metabolism, the harder it is to lose and keep the weight off. So you end up on and off the diet train constantly (losing and gaining same pounds). In the long run, it's better to change your eating and exercise habits so you can keep off what you lose. But I know this time of year, we all feel that pressure and want to look good quickly for events and things. So make sure you get enough protein. Protein helps keep muscle loss down.

Appreciate the comments. Everything I already know. I am working with a trainer / nutritionist who stated that he would not train me if I am not eating enough calories for the day. Food is not a priority for me. I only eat because I have to so remembering to eat is an issue.
