Adding calories to your menu is not easy. You have to think about if this food will mess up your 30-35% fat range. Will it make your sodium go higher? Will it raise your carb count? Will excess protein be converted into fat? I haven't reached my doctor's warning of 130 pounds, so I'm not worried, but I'm being cautious. I'm invited to my in-laws house for Thanksgiving. I am so sure that there will be lots of goodies, and turkey will be on the menu. ;) They know that I have been on this weight loss journey, so I don't think they will mind if I refuse most of the goodies. I'm thinking if I take a plate home with me, I can have them on another day. Definitely I do not plan to eat everything on the same day. :)

I'm enjoying that you are in another level of your journey Deb :) And that you seem to be adapting to it with a great mental disposition :) You *began* by losing your desired amount of weight & when you reached that goal thru various changes, you set *new* goals to reach & will thru various changes meet them! :) No doubt it will be more difficult ,this next level of weight management, but you will approach it with the skills the 1st level trained you in. You went from foot soldier to valiant warrior. Now as valiant warrior... what will you become? :) *I* can't wait to see!!! Not only do we,the readers of your Journal, get to see what lies in store for you,.... we see what lies in store for US... who have yet to go where you already tread. :) Keep us posted!

Thank you, everybody! Friday on the way home, I told my husband what my doctor emphatically said, "I don't want you to go below 130 pounds." Then I had to laugh at that, and my husband said, "What is it?" I said, "I was 130 pounds when we got married." It was ironic and surreal. I can remember when I wanted to be 164 lbs and get out of the obese category into the overweight category. Little by little I went on my weight loss journey and my weight is healthy and normal. My hard work has paid off. Thank God.

I am so happy for you Deb. I pray I can have your determination and make it to my goal without too many detours. I know I have a long way to go, but i can come and look at your journey and know it's possible. Thank you for your support of my journey and what I am currently going through. It is much appreciated.

Plan away Deb .... have a little indulgence or two and exercise LOTS of caution around the plentiful supply and you'll be fine, I'm sure x

It does become a constant science experiment doesn't it. One we have to practice.. most of the rest of our lives.. with a few days off from the lab.
