Not unexpected, but still disappointing. Honestly, I should just be grateful it's not a bigger gain. Bluntly, I've been eating too much and I know it.

At one point when I was doing better with all this, I told my husband it wasn't such hard work, but it did take focus. I lost focus there for a bit, and it's time to regain it

The good news is, my shoulder feels mostly there, so I can get back to cooking better. Going to try making seitan today. Will get some exercise, one way or another. Onward!

Thanks, LivinBreezy 😃 Think I may cancel that PT appointment in the morning. No penalty to do so, and the order is good for a month. Plus, I've got a lot to do at work

Food for thought. 5 years from now no one from work is going to remember this week/month. If you don't take the time to heal properly, I guarantee, You Will! From one 'older' not old woman to another. Your friend, Breezy

Excellent job in hitting the brakes before all the holidays roll in. And I agree with @Breezy -- your health is more important than a morning's worth of work at the office.

Thanks, JustBananas 😃 Today I got some cooking projects knocked out. Vegan mayo, seitanic Cincinnati chili, and I just turned off the soy milk in the crockpot to let it cool so I can make Greek-style yogurt with it. The days I couldn't use my shoulder were hard foodwise, because I wasn't able to prepare food like I like. Think I'm done for the day, though. The chili is kind of a disappointment. Followed my sister's recipe and it's too hot. Glad I didn't use as much salt as she called for. I used about a third of what the recipe said, and it was more than salty enough. I'll dial in the recipe better next time
