Today’s weight - 175.8 lbs
Last Friday weight - 174.4 lbs, up 1.4 lbs
Thursday morning weight - 173.8 lbs

This weigh in is not really accurate due to my eating yesterday. There was a miscommunication on the fishing trip I took yesterday and no one brought food to eat. I basically did an unintentional fast from 3:30am to 4:30pm yesterday. Then I proceeded to eat all my calories last night before I went to bed. Weight was up this morning because of that. I expected to see a loss this week since I reduced my calories to 2600. I lost 1/4” at my waist and my body fat remained the same so I am still happy with my progress despite the scale reading.

104 blood sugar
99/69 blood pressure
73 pulse
33.75” waist (down .25 inches)
11mm, 18mm, 7mm = 12% body fat

I have had a lot going on this week, I missed workout on Wednesday and I will miss again today because we are leaving out of town right after work. I will pick it back up on Monday.
175.8 lb Lost so far: 0 lb.    Still to go: 5.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Good deal, How much size are you trying to put on?

Did you catch any fish? What did you go out for? We used to take the bread out of the bag, throw some boloney in between two slices and put the sandwiches right back into the bag. Eating boloney sandwiches with fishy hands and washing it down with beer, nothing gets better.

I like you Willie! :) We went bass fishing on Fayette County Lake in Texas yesterday. We caught about 15 between the three of us, biggest was about 4 pounds. It wasn’t as good as it normally is at that lake, but it sure beat working! Since I stopped eating wheat, finding food for the boat has become much more difficult. We use to eat sandwiches like you described, or do the same thing with hot dogs, but now those are out of the question. So we eat more nuts, fruit, cheese and meats when we are fishing now. I still miss Vienna sausages with crackers. That has been a long time boat food of mine.

@Rockiesfan, I am still trying to lose body fat at this point. Gaining muscle mass has become a second priority right now. According to the goal thing I used on another site, my ideal weight is 176lbs with 8% body fat. I am hovering around that weight right now, but with 12% body fat. So right now, it’s about lowering body fat with just enough of a calorie deficit to keep me from losing muscle mass and strength. Once I get the body fat down, I plan to up the calories again and start adding muscle!

Salt water fishing here. Party boat trips (usually 30-40 guys from work) used to go out for Blue fish (either the 1 or 2 pounders or the giant blues 8+). We also used to do Fluke and Flounder trips fishing in 3 man boats. Pier fishing for Whiting and Mackerel in late fall, early winter. My favorite used to be Surf fishing. Standing in the oceans wake, holding a fishing rod in the warm sun, nothing gets better. It has been too long for me too since I've done that. Will definitely do it next summer.

I grew up fishing the shallow bays of the Texas coast near Houston. Trout, redfish and flounder were mainly what we were after. After I moved to central Texas, I found that the coast was too far for my enjoyment, so bought a bass boat and started bass fishing competitively.

Sounds like a great time Brent. By the way, what do you use for BF %? If calipers, which one and how many sites do u measure? 8% BF would be awesome. Sustainable?

I bought the "Slim Guide Skin Fold Caliper" from Amazon. I measure three sites and use the "scoobysworkshop body fat calculator" for my measurement sites and calculations. I will only know if 8% is sustainable once I get there. ;) haha Since we cant post links in comments, the above items in quotes will return the right results in google for you.

Cool. Thx fisherman. I currently have a 3 site caliper. Was thinking I needed 5 or more. But will check out scooby as well. I like his site. He is a cardio advocate.

Fishing in the gulf? Or doing some good ol' Texas bass fishing? Either way I am jealous. Even if it was fishing for something else, how did you do? Did you guys limit out and bag some keepers?

@mrdierks, That would be the "Good ol' Texas bass fishing" as you put it. :) With the cold front that came through the week before the fishing wasnt as hot as usual. We did manage about 15 between 3 of us. Any day fishing without boat problems is a good day!
