Deb_N's Journal, 12 October 2014

I have come so far in my weight loss that I am very hopeful to reach my goal weight. Those who have just started to lose weight, it seems like such a hard thing to do. Even if you gain weight after you join, keep going and you will see the weight begin to drop. Get active, even just walking. You don't need to lift weights at first, because you are lifting excess pounds of fat. As you lose weight, you can feel more healthy and get more flexible, then start working out and lifting weights if you want. Stay active and stay positive! Just think, if you eat more healthy and walk off only .2 pounds a day, that would add up to 73 pounds in one year. You can do it! Good luck, everyone!
139.8 lb Lost so far: 62.2 lb.    Still to go: 3.8 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

To lose .2 lbs a day you'd have to create a caloric deficit of 700 cal. I would add that even at .15 lbs a day = 500 cal a day, you'd lose 52lbs per year. Or .078 lbs a day, (250 cal deficit per day - would equate 26 lbs in a year. That's nothing to snicker at. (math genius @work!) lol -
