Instantcrazy's Journal, 08 October 2014

I've been waking up hungry lately. For some reason if I eat breakfast I feel hungry all day. My body is definitely programmed to get ready for winter. I would like my body to know the grocery store is just down the road and we will be fine.

I was just thinking Christmas parties are going to be coming up soon and I want to be able to look cute.

If you have a carb loaded breakfast, you'll be hungry again in a couple of hours. Add more fat to your breakfast, coconut oil, butter, sausages, cheese, etc... and cut back on the carbs. It will hold you a lot longer, without the highs and lows.

Draglist does the coconut oil coffee help curb the hunger until noon? I'm trying to think of what I eat when I do rat breakfast. I have a pb&j or nuts or trail mix lately.

I'm with Draglist. I don't eat until noon or I'm hungry all day. I also do my walk in the morning forcing my body to burn fat instead of breakfast. I do drink water in the morning, and afternoon, and throughout the night lol.

PB&J, and TrailMix are both High in Carbs, this will give you a nice insulin spike, and 2hrs later, a nice crash, leaving you hungry. As Draglist said, you could take a tablespoon of Coconut Oil, or Grassfed UnSalted Butter and using a stick blender, blend into 8oz of coffee. Fat has more energy than protein or carbs, as a result, the energy from fat will hold you longer without the highs and lows of carbs. The bonus is...eating fat doesn't make you fat.

Instantcrazy, scanned through a few days of your diet calendar. If I was eating those protein bars I'd be starving in 20 minutes!! You might try eating something more filling or do a smoothie packed with nutrition.

Ok, don't laugh at me, I'm afraid of fruit. OCCASIONALLY I might eat a banana. I buy cherries, and sometimes eat some. But smoothies scare the crap out of me. I bought some from the store when they were on sale, but it had to be the green ones because I felt like I was drinking veggies more than fruit. I'm definitely going to try the coconut oil in the coffee. I definitely do better when I don't eat breakfast. What about steel cut oats? Sometimes I just really need breakfast.
