Deb_N's Journal, 27 August 2014

After dinner, I used look to see how many calories that I had left so that I could eat a snack or two. It was like a game to see what I could eat in order to reach up and get as close to my FatSecret RDI without going over. My RDI is set at 1500 calories a day. How crazy is that? I joined a "no eating after dinner" challenge and after it was over I continue to not snack after dinner. I only allow sugar free gum or decaffeinated tea. I also made a new tweak today: I will not eat my heart healthy nuts that I usually eat at breakfast and only eat them later in the day if I need fiber to reach my daily 25 grams of fiber goal. If I can lose those calories in the nuts, maybe I will have a better weight loss. :)

I know .. that .. RDI thing, food recording.. sometimes good, sometimes bad. Esp when I'm trying to keep my percentages fixed and figure out I can eat more of 'this' to make it all balance and before I know it I'm eating when not hungry and rambling on others journals....

Nice loss! Yes, eating can be very tricky to say the least.

Hehe I do enjoy this game of "what can I munch on while watching online movies, if any" after dinner.

Down, down, down you go! :) I do the same thing - but usually earlier in the day after I've planned out my dinner.

Thank you, everyone! I'm glad I did not eat the nuts this morning. My RDI was up today.

I cut out nuts completely, and eating more veggies has been enough fiber. Veggies actually have the most fiber of all foods. I cut out cheese too and that greatly reduced my calories as well.

I stopped eating cheese because it just stalls my weight loss, but I do eat it once in a while, when I am alone in the house and I am too tired to fix something else.
