Down to 256!! Woot! And on TOM. ^.^ The scale was rather nice this morning. Last night my 2yr old stomped, not stepped, on the stitches in my foot. >.< Ow. Major Ow. So that's a little achy today. Hopefully a little ibuprofen will help with it. Tilapia was good last night. And this morning I'll be packing, and heading down to my mom's. Going to help my dad out a little this weekend while I'm down that way.

Can't wait to get my stitches out on Wednesday. Then hopefully be back walking again by June. I've really missed the peace and quite of the walks. Even if we are headed into some really hot weather.

Oh and thinking about doing an Italian inspired Fish soup. If anyone has any recipes, or recommendations for a Fish soup let me know. Nothing with milk/cream, or fennel. I'll probably make it next week.

Try this one out...it is a Spicy Fish Stew Ingredients 1/2 onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 1 tablespoon chili powder 1 1/2 cups chicken broth 1 (4 ounce) can canned green chile peppers, chopped 1 teaspoon ground cumin 1 1/2 cups canned peeled and diced tomatoes 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper 1/2 cup shrimp 1/2 pound cod fillets 3/4 cup plain nonfat yogurt Directions 1.Spray a large saucepan with the vegetable cooking spray over medium high heat. Add the onions and saute, stirring often, for about 5 minutes. Add the garlic and chili powder and saute for 2 more minutes. 2.Then add the chicken broth, chile peppers and cumin, stirring well. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for 20 minutes. 3.Next, add the tomatoes, green bell pepper, shrimp and cod. Return to a boil, then reduce heat to low, cover and simmer for another 5 minutes. Gradually stir in the yogurt until heated through.

Oh yeah, you said no milk/cream but it does call for some yogurt at the end. Your choice, I have made it with and without or sometimes a dollop of sour cream on top depending on how spicy I really ended up making it. It is really yummy, hope it works for you.

I looked up a couple of recipes for it, and I'm usually okay with yogurt. Mainly it's Milk or icecream that does bad things to me. Yogurt and cheese is usually fine. And that recipe sounds similar to some of the ones I looked up. Onion, garlic seem to be a staple in fish soups. Was looking at some that had white wine and either veggie broth, or fish broth in it. I was wondering if Chicken broth would work well with it, since I keep that stocked in the cabinet, and need to pick up the other broth for it. KSttride I'm VERY happy about the Drop, not sure what tomorrow will bring on the scale, though I know I had one day over the weekend where I burned about 4000 calories. So I should be good. We'll see though, I have a tendency to eat saltier things when I visit my Mom. Southern home cooking. Tastey, but somewhat high in sodium. :/ 2 days til my stitches come out though. ^.^ And really looking forward to wearing regular shoes on both feet. That darn boot/shoe they gave me to wear is a pain in the butt. Makes you walk funny, it's always slipping. Just darn annoying.
