Donna Mashburn's Journal, 20 August 2014

Took a break for a while. Went of vacation to the mountains with my sister and enjoyed the heck out of it! Got some feedback from my FS buddies that got me to thinking. I've been eating 13-1500 kcal for almost two years and working out 3-4 times a week. Lost 30 pounds but have been at this weight for 7 months. I believe my metabolism has plummeted and I'm maintaining on these low kcals. (I could re-arrange my macros but I can't cut back on any more kcals.) So I checked out the "eat more to lose more" ideas and Scooobys workshop and have decided to increase my kcals to between 18-2000 and see what happens.....I plan to do strength training along with my cardio and see how that works for me. Wish me luck!
181.4 lb Lost so far: 24.6 lb.    Still to go: 21.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Sounds like a plan, Donna. I think that raising the calories is probably a great idea, as long as you incorporate more complex carbs that keep your energy level up and your metabolism cooking. Great job on losing and maintaining though. I applaud you!
