Rained most of the night. Finally. Smoke is gone from the sky and the fires are losing to nature and the fire fighters. Thanks guys.

Everything falling back in place for me. Lifted yesterday and went for a hike with the Mrs. Had a chat with a woman who had a chocolate lab with her. So well behaved. Every choc lab I've ever seen has been well behaved. I guess the breed is good and they had decent owners. Maybe this fall.

I love labs, one of the best breeds IMO, I've had 2 exes that had them and they were great...

I had a chocolate lab. She was my baby and the gentlest soul.

A chocolate lab would make a great companion for ya NM!

A good friend of mine had a chocolate lab, I agree with everyone else, they're wonderful dogs.

Sounds like your taking your time in considering a new pup.

Great news we have had smoke for weeks and finally have been enjoying a break now for a few days ourselves.

Doesn't need to be a pup if it's from a good home. I think it's tele marketer day at my telephone number today.

I suggest adopting from a shelter. You can usually find any breed and find ones already house trained and with a known personality. Just saying cause all mine are rescues. So many are killed in shelters a year. It'll make you feel like a hero saving a life.

I agree so much dclaytor! We have a shelter dog, he's the sweetest thing ever...and there are so many labs at shelters...it's the highest euthanized breed...so sad :( there's a chocolate lab at a shelter in Chicago that I want so bad but we can only have 2 per our lease...
