ChristyLA's Journal, 02 August 2014

Yahoo! Wow...I am stunned. 4.6 lbs in ONE week. I owe this to eating super clean.

This is definitely more than a weight fluctuation, so that's exciting. I worked out every day (M-F), so it would be great if none of the loss was muscle.

I did a walk/run on Monday and Tuesday, and weightlifting/strength training Wed, Thurs, and Fri. For my walk/run, I've worked my way to a 12:45 min/mile for 2 miles. Wed I worked my triceps, Thurs was back, and Fri was thighs.

I definitely feel that I'm more toned, and I think I look more toned too. Of course, it could all be in my mind, because I've been consistently working out and eating clean.

When I look down while I'm sitting at the computer, my stomach looks smaller, which is nice, since that is my problem area and usually bugs me.

I was afraid I hadn't lost any weight, like last week. But I told myself I would continue my new lifestyle regardless, because I FEEL better. I feel better eating clean and not having a strong appetite. And I feel better about myself, because I'm taking good care of myself.

But it's nice to see results on the scale too of course ;)

Wow, I am super excited. This girl just might be continuing the weight loss part of her journey.

Awesome job! Your story sounds so much like mine. Losing and gaining back and always feeling hungry, so it's hard to make it a lifestyle. I have always lost my weight by doing Atkins, but gain it all back, so I've decided to try eating clean and exercising more. I stuff myself on veggies, no matter how many carbs they add up to, get lots of protein, and skip the junk food, processed food, bread, sugar, and pasta. I also feel much better, and I feel like I could make this my new lifestyle. I've only just begun, and I feel so much better already. I don't feel deprived at all, and I'm improving my health as well as losing the weight. Keep up the great work!

Thats great !!! I did this type of routine years ago and I lost weight at that pace too. The run/ walk really works along with the diet ! I am restarting as of today and I cant wait ! Are you doing the low carbs ?

Thanks, Linda. I'm so happy to be in the 160s again! I'm heading back towards my original goal of 160 :) If I get there, I'll lower it to 150.

Thanks, Mardee. Yeah, finally something's happening. And it's not based entirely on the number of calories I'm eating, because my deficit was only 500-800 a day. That would mean 1-1.5 lbs in a week, not 4.6. It's the type of food I've been eating. Somehow it makes a difference :)

Thanks Sweet Ce. It feels great to hear that :)

Good luck, Tamara! Starting is what will get you to where you want to be :) I do watch my carbs. Besides vegetables and a serving of fruit and berries, I eat 2 servings of grains or starchy vegetables a day: steel cut oats for breakfast and either a sweet potato, couscous, or brown rice medley as a side with dinner. The rest is meat, eggs, veggies, and water! Oh, and condiments, almond milk, green tea, and spices. I hope I didn't leave anything out!

Awesome drop ChristyLA!! You should be super excited and dancing happy dances! It is great when you feel better about yourself! I too have been eating as clean as possible (not much in the way of organic produce or grass fed beef around here) but from my bitty garden it is organic. Thank you so much for your comments on my posts and being so helpful. I need the feedback and support, need to stay motivated.

WOW way to go. I'd like to see a number like that.. Hopefully you record your food, cause I want to know what you're eating lol

Thanks, Kattay :) I'm happy for you! I don't eat much organic food, because of the prices and it goes bad quickly, but I eat "clean" foods, so I'm happy about that. We can't be perfect ;)

Thanks, Be! Yes, I record everything except for non-calorie foods/drinks :)
