Beat my walking record by getting in 3 miles yesterday! I know it doesn't sound like much compared to you who are running 10K's and marathons, but for me, it's a lot. Scheduled an ortho appointment for 4/29 to check status of my knee replacements and see if more work needs to be done. Still in daily pain since increasing the walking 23 days ago.

Got in ten 8-oz bottles of water yesterday, and kept Diet Coke drinking down to under 2 liters. Only got in 2 vegetables and no fruit yesterday, because I was gone a good part of the day running errands.

Actually walked OUTSIDE for 1/2 mile yesterday, and I'm paying for it today. I live in Virginia, and the pollen is terrible here in the spring. This morning, I have a runny nose, sneezing, coughing, sore throat. I dissolved some "Throat Calm" under my tongue every 15 minutes for an hour as directed, and now I have to do it three more times during the day. HOPEFULLY, this won't turn into an upper respiratory/sinus infection like my husband's allergy attack did. I use Fluticasone nasal spray all year round for allergies, but maybe my PCP will have another suggestion to add for the spring and fall when things are the worst here.

OH, I got up from midnight til 2am and walked 1/2 mile (inside, of course), and I walked another half mile between 5-6am. So, before 6:30 I have already walked a mile. My knees aren't bothering me QUITE as much as most days, so I'm going to try to go for another record-breaker today.

Off to do my Price Monitoring jobs at the grocery store! (That's usually good for 2/10 to 4/10 of a mile. I have a little bit of shopping to do for Easter to do there, too, so maybe it'll be toward the high end.

Debbie, walking 3 miles is fantastic!! even for people who run! that's a good time commitment. The pollen is terrible outside though, so I'm glad you're able to do mossy of your walking indoors. have a great day!

Great job on increasing your mileage, Debbie! Sometimes losing weight can ease the pressure on knees, which is made easier by your new walking habit. 🙂

Good luck with getting your steps in. I always found if you did circuits in the grocery store, it was a stress reliever and a good way to exercise. That was of course before Covid, so I've no idea what it's like inside a grocery store these days.
