What the heck is going on with my perfect week?!?!?!

I have followed my exercise routine and then some Monday and Tuesday. I rode the bike in the morning for at least 20 minutes and did my upper body and lower body workouts like I scheduled it. Now yesterday really bugs me! I was at about 600 calories, feeling good, not hungry at all. A friend stopped over and brought a bottle of wine and some popcorn (of the low cal variety) but I didn't want to add that many calories so I had a couple of scotch on the rocks drinks and passed on the popcorn. Assuming the drinks were 100 calories each, that still would have been less than 1000 calories.

Ok...I've vented and do apologize but it is a bit frustrating but...I have two perfect days and will continue. Maybe Thursday is the day I drop a pound or two. Have an awesome day and don't let old habits win!

If your calorie logs are accurate I think your intake is way too low, especially for your activity level. The body fights back, it happens to the best of us.

I agree with Yolanda...even though you don't feel hungry you should still have something to get you up around 1500 at least...more if you're going to continue being active, your body is storing all of those calories you're taking in for energy instead of burning them....maybe look into a BMR calculator and base your RDI off of that? I get nervous when people take in less than 1200 a day...

I agree with the calories being too low, if you're logging all your calories that is. If you aren't, start logging everything. Also, I'd suggest you log all your exercise as well. I do it on paper. Why? I don't want people here to know how little I do for the results I get, and I am seeing good muscle gains. lol Why do I do so little? If I get sick, I have to cut calories. If I exercised more I'd have to cut more if I got sick. I'm a big believer in diminishing returns. There's some guy one here by the name of 'Slacker' something. :( It should have been my name.

It takes time to see progress. You shouldn't weigh in more than once a week. You also shouldn't undertake drastic measures to lose weight or else you'll end up cheating and defeat the purpose. Make gradual changes that you can stick with long-term. Weight loss shouldn't be a race, but a lifestyle. I think you need to change your perspective on your progress. Daily weight loss is just not realistic.

Look at your weight just a week ago - you've lost 1.4 pounds in the last seven days, which is perfect! I do weigh myself every day, but when I am trying to gauge my weight loss, I just look at Wednesdays to see what my weight loss for the week is. There will be fluctuations from day to day. You're doing great!

Thanks for the opinions and advice. I do have a meal plan that includes close to 1700 calories but the last two days have been pretty hectic. Since I don't want to get some fast food as I make my rounds, I just wait so I end up missing a meal; at least that's what has happened the last two days. I committed to a perfect week so I would rather be under than over but I think you guys and girls are right about too low of caloric intake. And Yeah Northernmusician, I have logged everything in except those two scotch drinks last night. ChristyLA, I like to see progress, even if it is a little, I did weigh in once a week for a week; didn't care for it but you are probably right. I'm hoping tomorrow will be the day that ties these last 3 days together. You guys and girls are totally awesome how you support each other. Speaking for everyone, we really appreciate it.

Yup yup, take care of you and don't sweat the flat lines on the scale. I can't tell you how many times I've had weeks with little to no loss. That is how I came up with the trust fall (no weigh in) challenge that I did a while back. Sometimes you just have to trust the process :) have a wonderful day!

Fast food? Who said fast food? I sometimes wander into a grocery store with a deli, buy some roast beef, an apple, an orange, a bandana, and call it good.

Oops. Where did that 'd' come from?

Lol. I got you NM. And yeah, that sounds like pretty fast food. Today is another one of those days where my intake is low and I am feeling great. I just biked 10 miles and normally I am sluggish because I don't have enough fuel. Maybe I'll eat a small can of tuna. FYI, typo's are the norm here. :)

I didn't read the other 13 comments so I do apologize if I am just repeating what other people already said, but weight doesn't say much you are most probably building muscle and that adds weight as well. if you know you are doing things right then you shouldn't worry too much about the scale and rather focus on dress sizes etc. I know it's very discouraging when the scale doesn't correlate with hard work. make sure calorie intake isn't too low though then your body will go into starvation mode and hang on to any calories eaten for dear life.
