Socolova's Journal, 25 June 2014

Magic Mile Day! Well, I haven't felt the greatest the last two days so it was a toughy this morning. I have a goal of 10 seconds better each week, well I was 30 seconds SLOWER today. But honestly, when I woke up I wasn't even thinking I was going to run, only walk, so that's something I guess. Ate late last night because we decided to go out on the lake after work so I'm sure that has something to do with it. BUT, I went grocery shopping yesterday and loaded up on my favorite "healthies" as I call them so I am prepped for a while. I love grocery shopping, I'm sure that makes me a weirdo. I also love that our nearest grocery is called Piggy Wiggly, that probably makes me a weirdo too lol. My wallet pays dearly though every time I go, fresh produce and organic items can really get expensive. We have a farmer's market every Saturday, I really should starting getting up earlier and going, maybe save a little dough. This is the most random, rambling journal ever so I'm going to end it with a Happy Hump Day friends! :)

I didn't know they had Piggly Wigglies in your part of the world...thought those were only in the south. Glad to hear that your feeling at least a little better.

Piggy Wiggly makes me happy :) There's just something about a cute little pig butt wiggling at me while I'm shopping that brightens my day lol

Haha I have a green one!!! I am super big on the pig, seriously, even though it's cute they have great prices plus fuel discounts, boom! Well, my mile went from a 10:34 to an 11:08 BUT when I first started I couldn't even run 2 blocks without being winded, so I lost the battle but not the war ;)

I remember Piggly Wiggly, we had one in FL where I went to school.

That is a decent mile time, and yes if you have improved from two blocks now you need to do a mile and a half. I also have a Pig Swig shirt, from when they did beer a couple of years ago

I usually get a mile and a half in at least with walking before and after to make 2 full miles...it just depends on when I get moving, I only have about half an hour until I need to get ready for work and I can't bring myself to wake up any earlier. I have a 5k Mud Run Obstacle course I'm doing this weekend so I'm pushing but not trying to over-do it either...Whenever I wear my shirt people are always like "uh, you have a pig on your shirt"...so then I turn around and "wiggle" my pig butt on the back of the shirt :)
