I've finished my other two audio books, and am now doing "Atomic Habits" by James Clear. It has actually gotten me to drink some water by using "habit stacking." After I _________, I will ________. You link something you want to add to something you are already doing. "After I drink a glass of Diet Coke, I will drink a bottle of water." I'm using that from the time I get home from doing my morning jobs (about 8:30am) until 2:00pm. Yesterday, I drank three 8-oz bottles of water! (I'm not drinking after 2pm because I find that if I drink a lot of water before bed, I have to get up several times during the night to pee. With Diet Coke, I only have to wake up once.)

I'm finishing up the last of the soup this morning (except for all that I stored in my MIL's freezer). The "Soup, DKB toast & butter, Honey Nut Cheerios & banana" plan didn't really work for me, so I'll conjure up something different.

I bought some GIANT green grapes that are really sweet and have a good texture. I washed them and put them in a bowl on the kitchen counter. They make a good snack. But, I must admit that I hit the 2/$5 Entennman's sale again today.

I'm excited about joining the community pool. Last year, I didn't JOIN for the summer, so we only went a few times. I'm looking forward to going a lot, and doing laps with my snorkel mask, and treading water in the deep end. (I only learned how to tread water year before last.) I need to check and see if my swimsuit still fits me and figure out, if needed, how much I need to lose to fit back into it.

So, things are going marginally better for me. Drinking a bit of water, making plans for actual exercise, eating a bit of fruit, feeding my mind with audio books. It's progress.
254.4 lb Lost so far: 4.6 lb.    Still to go: 104.4 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.

Swimming is the best exercise in my opinion. I hate to sweat, so exercising in the water is the perfect solution!!

@rhontique, I too HATE to sweat! Never thought about the fact that it may be why I don't mind swimming! Good observation!
