ChristyLA's Journal, 10 May 2014

There are various reasons (stress, not enough of a calorie deficit, a couple higher-calorie days) for the gain this week. But I think the main reason is that I only exercised one day (Monday).

Today, I thought about what I had thought when I was working out regularly: My body loves exercise. Meaning, my body loves the positive effects of exercise on my physical health.

I was WAY too sedentary last week, and my body actually hurts right now (joint and muscle pain) from not exercising and sitting too much. I'm now motivated to resume working out on Monday.

Why do YOU like to exercise?

I don't like to exercise, but the risks are too high not to. Christy just be positive, and move forward. Remember that our weight does fluctuate, especially as women. I wouldn't stress over 1pound. Just be extra diligent these next few weeks.

Why do I like to exercise? Before I do it I sort of dread it. While I'm doing it I like it but sort of can't wait for it to be over. Afterwards? Now that's when I feel really good - good about myself and good in general. For at least 2 hours after I exercise, I find that I get up and move around more because I don't like that feeling of getting stiff sitting. Just reading your post reminds me of how crappy I feel when I am sedentary. Thanks for your post!

You'll definitely feel much better once you resume exercise! :) I feel that exercise changes everything. Not only does it make you feel better physically but it also changes your state of mind to a, like, happier state! :) It's difficult to understand but I'll definitely take it! ;)

It's like everything seems better after exercising. You see everything through "exercise glasses" lol

By the way, that's not bad for a weight reading! You can almost consider it a neutral reading! ;)

I just wanted to hear the reasons why others like to exercise to help motivate me more for Monday ;) Thanks, guys!

I like to exercise because I prove to myself how strong I have become. I love being able to do so much more than I ever thought I could, and I keep setting new personal bests. It is my antidepressant. Thank you for the comment on my picture, very much appreciated. Have a wonderful day!

Christy, my body does the same thing. It complains without my regular exercise routine even if it has been sporadic lately with 2bouts of respiratory issues in a month where doc said lay off for a week or 2 . just makes me feel better all over

That feeling of being physically stronger and having a fitter body is also a huge motivator! :)
