A friend brought us dinner last night, which was a nice surprise but also a challenge....packaged lasagna, garlic bread, salad and low carb (which means high fat) ice cream bars. I think I adapted well, ate a measured portion of the lasagna, skipped the garlic bread and ice cream bars. Came in under my RDI for the day.

That is what I like about dieting this way- logging & tracking and NOT a crazy type diet. You used your allotment and ate something. No big deal! Speaking of Ice Cream bars, I do have this Skinny Cow brand ice cream sandwiches in my freezer. As long as I do not eat them compulsively, I am OK. They are here on a trial basis!

I have Yopliat Greek Yogurt bars in my freezer and I only eat one a day.

A benefit of lasagna for dinner last night was a small portion of the leftover for breakfast. :) Which is ok as long as I track and adjust my intake accordingly. I'm actually having fun doing this. The Skinny Cow ice cream is good, my Mom gets that sometimes so when I'm over there I always peek in her freezer. For now I'm not having any of that in the house, I don't want to sabotage my new found success. Later on I hope to incorporate that kind of think into my diet in a sensible way.

Yeah..the first package of ice-cream sandwiches went down impulsively. So I skipped 3 weeks or so, and am trying again. As my appetite is decreased and my craving seem to be GONE, so far, I have not chomped down the Skinny Cow package! I am like you, I can eat any kind of food, any time of day. I have often made roasted vegetables for breakfast or what ever leftovers I have! Log and track and you have your salvation!
