AlgaeGirl's Journal, 14 June 2009

I'm excited that I'm only at work until 4pm, that it's a beautiful, bright sunny day and the scales are moving in the downward direction!

And tonight, Ian is off doing some freelance work, so I don't have to be home until after 8pm for dinner. So, after work, I am planning to ride for an hour or two on the Martin Goodman Trail. I leave work, bike for about 10 minutes (or a bit less...it's been a while) and then down to the lake shore. I can then follow the trail out to the beaches, then back to the Don River and up to the Riverdale Farm bridge and then it's 15 minutes or so up some quiet side streets and home.

I've also been watching the building staff clean out the outdoor pool. The pool usually opens the first of July weekend. Then it's open every day, from noon til 8pm (weather permitting, of course). I love biking home on a hot and sticky Sunday afternoon, racing upstairs, changing, and then racing back down to the pool for a couple of blissful hours.

Good things are happening...I can feel it in the air!

I love the bike then swim thing....I would do a Triathalon if I could bike first and then swim...but I guess they are worried about the exhausted drowning swimmer...I should modify my first statement...I love the bike and the "float" thing...LOL. Road yesterday and rocked a steep hill on the mountain bike that always gave me trouble...losing 34 pounds will do that. Keep Rolling.
