northernmusician's Journal, 01 May 2014

On to my 2600 day. I'm finding cycling my calories has a certain entertainment value. The 2300 days remind me what it's like to lose weight and makes me appreciate more what I've accomplished. The 2600, nice and easy. 2900, time to feel full and to enjoy some of the gravy.

This will likely be my approach now regardless of whether I'm trying to gain or lose fat. It reminds me of past mistakes, and it proves to me that I am in control.

I read the other day that everyone knows how to lose weight, they just hope there's an option to what they know.

Quote for the day:

“The difference between a successful person and others is not a lack of strength, not a lack of knowledge, but rather a lack in will.”
― Vince Lombardi

Have a good day everyone.

The 2300 calorie days also remind me of how hard it is and that I do not want to go back. Persevere, my friends. (Friends here means anyone in the fight.)

I may have to try that up and down calorie pattern next week. I believe I do it without thinking but it would be nice to see if planning ahead get's different results especially with incorporating exercise. I'm trying to lose and then tone but I am not sure if I should be trying to do them simultaneously. Great quotes!

Thank you for specifying who classified as a friend lol. I'm usually around 1600/day, but being a woman participating in said 'fight' tis par for the course. Can't wait to get closer to maintenance, so I can start increasing the ol' caloric limit. Persevere I shall, NM, have a wonderful day yourself!

Fight. Can we come up with a more descriptive word? Doesn't seem to really do the phrase justice.

Rocker, if you watched startrek (the old one) just think of the two guys locked together through eternity fighting each other. @Clooney. Thanks for the link. I'm not simply trying to gain weight. I'm trying to gain muscle. Simple weight works for a fighter, but it's not what I'm looking for. Thanks just the same.

according to the contents at that link (and I don't want to do that program myself, not yet anyway), he was making sure he gained 20 pounds of muscle without gaining much if any fat. He's talking about "quality mass" which is what you are, looks like.

20 pounds in a month? It's not happening. That's max for a genetically gifted noob lifter. Is he a juicer?
01 May 14 by member: northernmusician
Sorry. That's supposed to be "for a genetically gifted noob lifter over a year."

Clooney... kidding, right? Is there scientific documentation on his supposed muscle gain?
