FitOKay's Journal, 01 May 2014

Good morning =) Weight this morning was down further. I am wondering if maybe this is like when you start dieting and loose pounds a little faster then calories in calories out suggests is possible. I was at maintenance for 25 days; reasonably, that could have reset my body back from 'dieting' to 'normal' (or whatever passes for normal, lol). Idk, I'm just going to take these weights with a grain of salt for the first couple weeks after getting back.

I woke up around 5am and couldn't get back to sleep. So I got up and did what I do =p My morning peak flow was 380, but on a hunch (that was probably really some subconscious recognition of how I was breathing or how my lungs felt) I did a nebulizer. It took my peak flow up to 420. 420 is reasonably where my peak flow might have jumped up to from a nebulizer when starting at 400. I went ahead and hopped on the bike. Around 25 minutes my lungs were starting to feel like they were tightening up again, so I cut it off at 30 minutes. My peak flow 10 minutes after getting off the bike was 400. I think I'm doing alright there. Maybe shouldn't have risked it, but I haven't gotten to bike since Sunday =p

I've already entered lunch, but it's just a tentative entry to remind me to eat leftover fish rather then make up my normal tuna salad. May or may not be changing at actual lunch time.

Hope everyone else is off to as nice of a start for their day.

I'm glad the biking went ok! I hope you don't ever have any problems with that! Regarding the weight loss, the only explanation I can think of (there are definitely lots of possible reasons) is, at maintenance calories, your metabolism went up. Now that you lowered your calories, your metabolism took some time to adjust. But I presume that, if you keep exercising, even if very lightly, that you'll keep your metabolism elevated. Just be careful! It's definitely better to exercise a little every day than to exercise a lot in one day and not to exercise afterwards due to having exercised too intensely. You're doing great! Keep up the great work! :)
