🤬so getting frustrated with this whole thing. I have not eaten enough to gain this much. I know it’s pseudo “normal” fluctuations, but so much for my goal for Friday.
But more importantly, I’d like to ask you FS community on how best to remove the belly fat (bulging mid-rift)? I’ve always had it, even when I was at a much lighter weight. I’ve begun doing sit-ups and such, but understand that’s just strengthening my core, and won’t impact the outward appearance too much. I hope it’s not having to become vegan as that might prove problematic, 😆, but I do need to improve other areas though too. Thank you in advance for your input.

Tell me about it. I weighed 103 lbs this morning but my abdomen is still humongous! But I believe in core exercise, it may take months before we can see the result, but let’s keep at it✌🏼

Try cutting back on sodium see if that works

I would suggest strength training if that’s possible (more muscle > faster metabolism) And depending on what your calorie intake has been like, reverse dieting might work as well.

I may get arguments over my answer but my nutritionist says tummy fat will only lessen or go away with diet. Curious on what you eat..for me I stay away from processed foods and if I eat to many carbs( over 75) I get a poochy tummy. Exercise will help tighten and help your core muscle but won't really get rid of what you are talking about.

Be easy on yourself. Just remind yourself that it didn't get there in a day and it won't go away in a day. If you are doing a lot of crunches and situps, just remember muscle weighs more than fat.

You can’t spot lose fat. General fat loss occurs in different places for different people. Diet and exercise will help you lose fat everywhere but you middle may be the last to go.

I feel your pain, I struggle wondering about the fluctuations too. the scale can go up 5 lbs overnight.. I think it's just my gut health issues. As for tummy fat, that has allot to do with food choices. Yes, you cant spot lose but I know when I ate a sensible amount of calories and stuck to protein, vegs, fruit and low carbs, I had those washboard abs and no tummy fat. Good luck!

Thank you all for your valuable insight. In some fashion you all have vocalized and confirmed what I was thinking. Start eating better and continue my efforts on core strengthening. Will have to postpone the core workouts for a couple weeks as I have a surgery on Friday, but give me two weeks and I’ll be happy to complain I’ve over done it some way or another 😉 I appreciate you all, Thank you!

Belly fat is the hardest to rid of. solution : 85 % diet . Less carbs . Try use KETO / intermittent fasting . No cheat meals, no booze , no ice cream , no sugar , no snaking 15 % exercises. weight lifting + cardio: start from running 2-3 times per week or at least walking everyday / bicycle / Zumba / aerobics …. Watch on YouTube video on body recomposition . + stay away from stressful situations + practice mediation + try to sleep at least 8hrs every night . + do photos and measures of your progress monthly . When you feel like you are achieving not too much - take a look at the staring and current pictures and body measurements and you will see if the direction you are moving is right. Please remember that burning belly fat is possible . Good luck !
