I guess its a good thing that I'm not here everyday but that I do occasionally check in. It's a good thing because in the past if I wasn't here it meant I was indulging in a food coma. Not the case presently!! Just busy with life, working long days, engaged in my "side" business, Taking Care of Business!! LOL!! Can you hear the song?!

The weight loss has slowed but it is still declining which makes me smile. And I can FEEL the difference. Crossing my legs is a big difference. Pants I couldn't wear before I now can. I feel differently when I'm walking, when I get up and down from the floor (which I do quite frequently in my line of work!), and I see a difference in the mirror. Certainly not "skinny" but a difference. This is good.

The weekend was a blur. I spent all day Sunday up to my rear in calculations for taxes and budgeting ... both of which I finished!!! YAY!!! My birthday is the 15th so I really like to have that painful task done so I can actually enjoy my birthday. So happy to have that done for the year.

My "schedule" has been turned upside down with DH working days. He "NEEDS" to eat in the morning but of course he doesn't have time to make himself something to eat ... so ... of course ... I am making breakfast for him before the crack of dawn, helping him make his lunch, making coffee, still starting a fire here in the am, taking the dog out, so on and so forth!!! He likes it. I do too ... well sort of!!! Still adjusting!! He's a happy camper and grateful so that helps.

We did NOT send the rent check for wayward daughter this month. DH spoke to her by phone. She admitted she lied about the check. Her excuse? She was afraid we'd want some of the money and she wanted to put it aside to get a different apartment when her lease is up at the end of May. Truly we can't afford it ... lots of expenses this month with my licenses & malpractice insurance needing renewal, auto insurance time too, generator on the fritz, AND taxes. Of course we may still have to pay it if she doesn't since we are on the lease so I'm trying to "stash" the money, just not sending the check. DH told her our well is dry. We shall see what happens there. For now I don't even want to talk with her. Not sure I could hold my tongue. I told him that too ... if she calls and he wants to talk to her that's fine by me but I am NOT answering the phone. He was okay with that.

Despite all this chaos lately my DH is in good spirits. So unusual. He doesn't usually take these type of events in stride. I credit the Confianza he is taking which is an all natural support for anxiety and depression. It is really a pleasure ... makes this time so much easier to deal with!!

The downside of this busy time is I don't have time to visit with you all and keep up with what is happening in your lives. I miss that. Know I think about you all the time and am still in your corner!! Take care!!

Carol, I feel for you. Been there, done that, bought the Tee-shirt, concerning footing the bills for the kids. Hope you're soon able to relax and find some order in the chaos. Good job on the weight loss!

I am very excited for you. You seem to be doing fantastic. Kudos on the daughter side of things, glad your husband understands. I am still worried about your generator though, hope it lasts. Keep up the amazing job you are doing and I look forward to reading your future posts.

Glad your weight is coming down, anything 'off' is a good thing, and that you can feel it in your body is also a lovely feeling. Glad that DH is doing so well, and handling his daughter's hijinks.

Great job! DIL will grow up eventually and be very grateful that she had you and DH to help her out in rough times. It is hard financially but will be paid back in love eventually! Have you tried making an omelet with veggies and meat the night before? I use 3 eggs, tiny amt. of onion/tomato/spinach and chicken sausage. I put in 12" skillet cover with foil until done about 4-5 minutes. Turn off burner...add 1 oz cheese...flip omelet in half then cut in two so I have one for 2 days. You DH might need all 3 eggs but they microwave so easy and taste amazing. A little easier going for the mornings. :) I also precook my bacon and micro that too when I get to the office with my omelet.
