Al was fishing at Lake Castaic when a fire broke out. They watched SuperScoopers and helicopters grabbing water from the lake. Their freeway home was closed, yet somehow they managed to get out. Today it’s fully out of control and we are waiting for updates. I still believe arsonists should have the same treatment as murderers, for they destroy wildlife that die horrid deaths and destroy property, and often do take life. Feel so bad for the firefighters working in this heat.🙁 Anyway, just letting out anxiety and steam as it only takes one person,(a maniac),to destroy so many lives, and make so many lives unbearable, yet they get out, and are able to do it again. 😠
On the lighter side, my husband caught his first small mouth bass. Yes, he’s a bass fisherman, usually ocean only, when he fishes lakes it has always been large mouth bass. No, we’re not having fish, he only catches and releases. 😊
I wonder why are fish so gullible,
they fall for things hook, line and sinker! 🎣
I am not weighing in till Tuesday as I did have ribs yesterday, lots, I think though I am OK, no gain, but I need a loss!🙃
I could easily lose weight but momma raised no loser.😄
Need to take in less calories taking in too many. Thanks for the meaning of the word “many” to me, it means a lot.😃

I don't know what the penalty is when an arsonist is convicted, however I believe it should be a federal crime. It is serious, but I am torn because I know it can also be a mental illness. In both cases there is an extreme danger to natural resources, to properties and most of all to life. Not only the animal life but human life. Additionally it takes years to recover. I had only witnessed one fire while I was in California, but I surveyed the site of two fires in their aftermath. The destruction is something to behold. It is comparable to a combat zone cover acres upon acres.
In this country we are blessed. Anyone who has traveled from coast to coast can appreciate the vastness and the beauty we have. We also have a wealth of natural resources. With all of this we share a responsibility to protect that which we have.
A little slightly off topic here but I recently NASA Satellites shows that the corn belt of the US produces 40% more oxygen than Amazon rainforest. This is truly an amazing country.

When I was 2 years old our home was the first of 101 houses to burn to the ground in a fire set by an arsonist who had just been released early from a prison sentence for arson.

Totally agree with you on the not so smart fire starters. Between nature starting them and careless people this year has been so destructive across the western US.

Skydiverjim it is absolutely mental illness, who would do that? But, that means they definitely can’t be free to do it again.
War zone unquestionably, and many innocent die in war, so the enemy must be defeated.
That is one thing we just can’t fix is mental illness, maybe someday. Until then the rest of us need to be safe.
Surprisingly, I studied the corn belt last night. I didn’t know that fact, thank you!!! 👍 Was researching about popcorn, and that is where that corn is grown, only there. I have been eating so much Skinnypop I wanted to check out everything about it. 🙃

That is in their mindset and it is an illness, we just can’t ever let arsonist out, they can’t help themselves that’s where the word pyromaniac comes into play.
Just like a child molester, or serial killer, they can’t be fixed. 😖
Sorry about your home, I probably knew about that fire when it happened since I am in California.
For sure it was all over the news.😧

I agree 100%, MamaMary, arsonists are brainless and disturbed! So usually get caught.
Nature is the culprit many times, so we don’t need more than that to have our firefighters risking their lives.👍🌸🌼🌻
