Debbie Cousins's Journal, 05 August 2021

Had another "eat all day" day, but managed to keep calories just under 2,000. Happily surprised with another 0.4 pound loss this morning - down from 206.8 to 206.4. Drank 7 cups of water yesterday, but 12 the day before. Going to try to do well again today. Having that sore on my tongue really helped me to chose water (which didn't hurt) over Diet Coke (which did). Glad the sore is gone now, and I will try to continue to drink mostly water.

I don't have anything I HAVE to do today, except that the kids MIGHT come over at 4pm and spend the night, if my daughter feels better and is going to go to her late-night work get-together. I kinda hope they DON'T come, because I will have them all day tomorrow, already. Three days in a row is kinda hard on me.

Yesterday, my grandson learned how to tread water! HOORAY!!! In our pool, he can stand on the bottom on his tiptoes, but I took him to the community pool for his lesson yesterday, and they stayed in the 5' section, where he couldn't touch. Going to try to take him there again on Friday to reinforce what he just learned. If you can tread water and float on your back, you can pretty much survive in any water depth. Even though it costs me $15 (for the three of us) to go to the community pool, since we didn't buy the summer membership this year), it is worth it to be finally getting him where I'll be able to relax a bit when he's in the pool, without having to stay at arm's distance from him and watch him every minute!

OK, gonna drink some water now. Whoopie.

Praying we would all have a "successful" day today, working on our individual WOE's.

Very nice work, Debbie. Please persist. It takes a minute and quite a bit of effort to find your groove after a hard cut. Let's go!

I've been meaning to ask you how your beans are doing!! mine ended up overwhelming the support I built, so I tore them down and have them to the deer, but I still had a really good harvest for them!
