You're hardly short of determination. You're just a victim of wanting yesterday, like, oh...like all of us on here? LOL. It's one thing to spend years in blissful ignorance of our health, then one day we wake up and want change and we want it yesterday or last week. So you need to stay at this weight for another week? Can we make a game out of it or something? Do something to make it more fun? Come one, let's think of something!

May I suggest you go back and read your words of wisdom to us regarding "wanting it to happen" yesterday. I've thought about how I was going to maintain once I hit my goal and will admit to being a little scared and not knowing how to do it.

Agree. you have shown to be so strong and determined, this is not the moment to start panicking! you will make it, because you have worked so hard to get where you are, that you will learn how to keep stable. You must do it, because we all here will be supporting you and letting you know how proud we are of you.

I am glad you are bringing this up for discussion. Many times (in past lives) I have been at maintenance. And what do I do? Gain it all back, of course. This time my goal is learning how to eat "real food", and take into consideration all of the crap that life throws at us. You can do this. Look how far you have come. No way do you want to let it all slip away!

Hey, NM. I agree with everyone here. You have already come so far, have already proven your will and determination. Just another few days, and you begin a new phase. No worries. You've GOT THIS! Keep smiling.

Oh, and one thing to add. Forgive me, I cannot remember who recently was talking about maintenance (if you're reading, speak up!), but she was saying she finds it hard to get excited about (and celebrate) *nothing happening*. So, you might consider that aspect... and try and build in some kind of reward system for "staying the same". Until she mentioned it (and again, I am so sorry I've forgotten who), it never occurred to me how hard it would be to celebrate nothing happening. Try and build something in for that. TAKE CARE, NM!

You seem pretty determined by viewing your results. I think I should borrow some from you. And I love the idea of rewarding yourself for reaching, surpassing and maintaining your goals. That deserves special recognition. You are where so many of us are aiming and that is something to celebrate daily. Congrats on your continued maintenance and enjoying it.

WONDERFUL WORDS from CHICHA..."special recognition" *is* deserved.*I* am one of the "many...aiming" to be at *maintaining* my goals. Excuse me,did you mention... that you are in a hurry?!:D OH,Musician, celebrate where you are! You worked so hard to get *right here, where you are*. Enjoy it,as Chicha suggests. The next phase will come soon enough. Revel in all that you have learned, that you have accomplished. Look at how far you have come.Celebrate THIS victory that's here NOW.There are plenty of more battles to overcome down the road. Breathe, relax, enjoy :D Tomorrow brings another day.

MM - I'd play a game. What will it be? Maybe see how close I can stay to.. what... 167? The whole purpose of this week is to see if I stabilize at this calorie intake. That lets me know my future calorie intake. ClassicRocker - How dare you throw my words back in my face. lol (I need to quit posting.) Buffy - I agree about maintenance. The weight loss means nothing without the maintenance. Rob!!! - Wow! I hadn't thought of it like that. I'm like the politician who wants to build a new bridge because that's where the photo op is. Maintaining the bridge, money out with no photo op! Maybe we need a "Maintaining my weight!" Forum. Use it to encourage each other and maybe post the occasional picture? That comment was a true revelation to me. No motion = the week won! Thank you everyone else for your support and your comments. FS is the community I needed to pull all of this together. So much navel gazing (so to speak) on a weight loss diet. Mya - I read that as "Breathe heavy and enjoy." I was wondering if you were expecting a phone call. lol

YOU,my Friend, may be expecting a phone call.It was how *YOU* read it...no one else :D So glad Rob's way of expressing himself got you thinking in another direction even if only for a minute.Sometimes we old folks need to dust away the cobwebs. :D
