I'm insulted. Not by my scale (for once!), but by the people at Bed, Bath and Beyond. Not even them - by then entire towel industry! I was at BB & B and I wanted a towel to dry off with for after I take my gym showers, something different than my everyday towel, and something I can get dry really fast with.

So I asked if they have any bigger bath towel, and the woman says, "Maybe you're looking for a bath sheet?" A bath SHEET? Really? A sheet? Am I so huge that I need a freakin towel the size of a sheet to dry myself? ROFL. Who came up with this? Is this like the "Big and Tall Bath Towel"? I wasn't sure if I should start laughing or get insulted and huff out of the store.

Well, any of you who know me even a little bit know that I'm the first one to laugh at myself and poke fun, so I started laughing. And I bought the bath sheet. It's actually amazing. Very fluffy and absorbent. I just hate the name. HAHAHA!

Thanks, I needed to rant a little.

Great weigh-in for me, by the way. Another low. Mildly sore after gym tour, but in a good way. Thanks to so many for ongoing support!

ROFL A bath SHEET??? Wow! You KNOW you're not going to stay at your weight. You KNOW what you're doing. It's just a matter of time. You love your bath sheet? So what! When you lose your weight you cut that thing in half and get out the sewing machine. Then you'll have TWO fluffy towels. :D

Ha Ha Ha. Too funny. Here's another thought. You must not have purchased towels in a long while because they like the ice cream cartons have been shrinking. It is just another way to create a demand for the better quality item. Even when I could wear a towel wrapped around me (age 18, 125 lbs) the towels were not long enough to stay tucked in so they wouldn't fall off. I love a bath sheet no matter what they call it. Funny enough while I love this site and the people on it, I was put off by the word Fat! Enjoy you lovely fluffy towel no matter what it is called. J

I don't give a furry rat's fanny if they call it a bath king sized comforter, it's amazing and it fits! But really...when you're big, you do cringe at these terms sometimes, don't you? LOL. IO'm gathering material for my stand-up routine, one Journal entry at a time. By the time I have it all put together, I'll be thin and no one will laugh at my food jokes. HAHA!

I used to have to wear xl sized t-shirts and was looking at xxl. Now mediums. Most of my old jeans are now welding clothes. They need to be big so you can get out of them fast if you light them on fire.

Glad we can laugh - doesn't do us the least bit of good to get insulted. Did you notice that they changed the "One size fits all" to "One size fit most" - LOL. BTW - thank you for all your support. I am having a great day today - thanks to buddies like you!

BB, glad things are better for you, as they are for me. I had to resort to eating 7 prunes again today. It's been 3 days again since...you know, since I ate prunes. ;J I ate a lot of heavy food today, like 25 ounces of pineapple, and unless those prunes work some magic, I fully expect to see at least a 2 pound blip in the AM. I stand there each morning and watch my little dog squat and get that look on his face as he does his business, every singe day at 6AM like CLOCKWORK and I shake my head in envy at his regularity. It must be nice, little puppy, that's all I can say! Going to the gym again tomorrow night and I hate that feeling of being... you know. I'm running out of euphemisms here, guys, and I refuse to go juvenile (i.e. #2, "down there", etc.). Gotta keep it classy, folks. Tune in tomorrow for more bodily function humor!

I was introduced to bath sheets a few years ago when my dad asked for a big, long, fluffy towel....YOU ARE RIGHT...THOSE THINGS ARE HUGE, but FABULOUS! I'm just glad they're not called Bath Muu Muus or Bath Tent. LOL

Daaniii, the prunes worked their magic back on the 16th, but it's getting to be an annoying situation when you have to keep track of these things to make sure it hasn't been too long. Back when I used to eat poorly, I could understand, but now I eat lots of fruits and veggies, so I don't understand where the problem lies, except that it might be genetic, as my parents had similar issues in that department. I will just single-handedly support the California Prune Industry since I'm not a huge fan of spinach.

I love love love bath sheets.....no matter my size. Take comfort in the fact that the Bed, Bath & Beyond staff were probably just trying to sell you the more expensive item, and it was not a commentary on your weight.....a bath sheet is generally more expensive than a regular old bath towel. :) As for the prune issue, are you eating enough grain/oatmeal? I find that if I eat too much fiber, I get a little uh, "backstopped" as if I want even eating ANY. Have you tried drinking warm water with lemon first thing in the morning, right after you get up? Sometimes that gets things going.
