My dad would every year, after it turns 12:00 AM on January 1st, make the same exact jokes. “Where’s your mother, I haven’t seen her ALL YEAR!” “Man, I’m so hungry, I haven’t eaten ALL YEAR!!” “WOW, we’ve been watching this TV ALL YEAR!!”

LOVE it! We use all kinds of 'sayings' my Dad used to use and laugh and remember him so lovingly. One we use often--If something he ate was just ok, when asked he would say "well, it'll make a turd". I've passed it onto the grandsons, who use it and laugh hysterically. Of course they think turd is a pretty funny word 🤣🤣🤣

Smiles...Shrew, my family usually cooks up a feast, today was even more...stayed away from the Bar-B-Q Ribs, Peas n Rice, Baked Macaroni & Cheese, Crab Salad, Cakes & Tropical Drinks...Just enjoyed what I could, so proud of myself, Thanks! be to God and feel grate. My dad came up with good jokes Ettenauj, but thank goodness so does my husband and my son and we just have a good time trying to top one another.😁👍🌸

Thank you, RN16, the only thing about my father, is he took great care of us, but he could get pretty rough and it wasn’t always all laughs. He was raised by a drunken uncle, so he was treated rough.
