I figured I gained, plus I had a malt last night, something I haven’t had in over a year. I was drowning my sorrows in drink.
I was pulled over yesterday on my way to work. 👮♀️ 😢
I was in trouble for I had not put my new registration sticker on my car yet, mainly because I didn’t have one, mainly because I paid the registration, yet I didn’t ever have time to go get the car smpgged. ☹️
Plus, the 👮♂️ asked why was I slowing down on the freeway? I told him so he could pass me and not look at my license.😊 I knew he was probably very busy. He just laugh and handed me the ticket.
I, for one, support my local police department, as this ticket I'm paying *must* be buying them some pretty good stuff. 😁
Plus he said "You didn't think we give pretty women tickets? You're right, we don't. Sign here.😩
Now, to go get the car smog tested today, and they going to the long lines at the DMV, tomorrow, I’ll probably get Covid, then off to the police station with my fix it expensive ticket. 😩

I am glad you can have a sense of humor about it. I have had similar issues and now I am absolutely paranoid about staying on top of registration and inspection. Lesson learned. Have a wonderful day to you too.

Oh Shrewd, sorry that you got the one cop without a sense of humor/making a mean comment. The couple of times I got pulled over, I was just yes sir/no sir and didn't let on why they pulled me over. Twice I've pulled a "Registration? In the movies they keep it in the glove compartment. Should I check there, officer?" Just got verbal warnings every time. Just play it short & sweet & naïve. No sunglasses, as they won't be able to see your eyes widen and your eyelashes bat in the amazement that you did something wrong. 🙃😇

I can’t believe he said that! Maybe he said it wrong. Maybe he meant he did give tickets to women, regardless of how they look.
Ask if the ticket $ can be reduced, they usually will.

On a side note, I accidentally put my daughter’s sticker on my car 🙄 Fortunately, my sticker came in the mail about a month later & she put my sticker on her car 😝
Then we took pictures of each other’s registration, in case we got pulled over 😉
Her registration is due again, so she reminded me to not do that again 😆

Kathy, I have always been paranoid too. I would have registration and insurance together in a little plastic envelope and stand at the door of each car and watch my sons and hubby place it in the glove compartment. I was sick in Nov 2019, then bang Covid hit. I have been off my game ever since super disorganized! 😩🙃 I even took an extension on our taxes this year. The ticket is a wake up call telling me it’s time to get it together and get organized! That about sums it up.😊

Thanks Becky!🌸 My hubby took me to work and he took the car in today for the smog check since he’s not working right now. He said it took 5 hours, from 11am- 4pm. He had the oil changed too.
He left the place and went shopping at Target, then went to lunch and walked back to see the car still in line. 🙃 Poor guy, it was my fault too he went through that.😔 Oh well, I guess I better get him a nice Father’s Day gift.😊

Oh JustBananas, please please don’t kill me. I liked the cop, and he gave me a break on the price of the ticket.
That, I believe, was an old Phyllis Diller joke, I think. I remember it for it was a good one and you know I am always joking. I was joking with him and he was all smiles.
Yet, I did slow down on the freeway hoping he would pass and that had bugged him a little.
Love your comment, it was really funny. I need to get it in gear, so it’s a good kick in the pants for me. I have been too dedicated to my job, and not taking care of our stuff. Need to fix that!🙃

Not your fault at all. This stuff happens and spouses do things for each other, it's part of being a team. Didn't you just get done waking up at 2am to get your husband off to a good start for his fishing tournaments for a couple of days? And you weren't feeling so great either. I'm not saying to keep score or anything like that, just not to feel bad about the smog thing. And Princess is right, a real a-hole. There was this young cop that stopped me 2 blocks from my house one time, boy what piece of work! Had such a crappy attitude, I had to use every cell within me to keep my mouth shut and (I'm exaggerating here) keep myself from smacking him. Very rude. Didn't give me ticket, just wanted to mess with someone, I guess. 😡

LambiePi I am sorry I was joking. I told my husband that too and he, the comedian that he is, also thought I was serious. It’s a good old joke though.🙃
Getting the wrong sticker on the wrong car can get you in trouble as well. That seems familiar though, I think I may have done that at sometime. How do they see those tiny numbers on the sticker anyway? Good plan to have the picture on your phone.
