I did it all last week with cheesecake every day. This week, I’ve refrained from treats altogether and weight went up up up until today. Diablo, what’s your take on that? I’m thinking because the cheesecake was such high calorie, my volume of food was way down and resulted in some numbers to go low on the scale. Am I wrong? This week because I’m not eating treats and my volume of food is way higher in order to get in the calories, scale goes up because of food volume? I truly believe in CICO, but what do you think about volumes of food?

My experience is that a binge day here and there doesn't stick to the body like smaller, regular treats. Every day is a new day!

Wifey, it could be that calories were lower but sodium was up. Increasing food volume, sodium, and a higher water intake could easily explain it, yes.

I think my weight went down because I was due for a big woosh, so instead of a big one it was smaller due to the doughnuts.

I think I’m going to get a box of donuts to lower my salt intake. It’s taking all week to lose last weekend’s water weight 🤭.

Water never changes for me. Same amount everyday religiously. Water is one thing I always get right. Amount I drink that is. Could be sodium change, not sure. Thanks for the input.

Water intake doesn’t change much for Me either, but retention definitely does 🙂

I never track water. Same with retention lol.

I don't either. I just drink it. 🤷🏻‍♀️ plenty of it.

Love it when people intentionally or unintentionally bust clean-eating myths.

@wifey, the volume of food absolutely can explain scale readings being higher. It can also mask fat gain (like the cheesecake, a caloric low-volume food apparently not causing a gain in a surplus).

I intentionally do it every day lol
